Netwerkkabel Helos Cat 6a S/FTP 1 m

The Helos Cat 6a S/FTP 1 m networking cable is a 1-metre shielded Ethernet lead designed for reliable high-speed data transmission. This white cable features S/FTP (Shielded Foiled Twisted Pair) construction and RJ-45 connectors on both ends, enabling support for higher bandwidths and reduced electromagnetic interference in structured cabling systems and desktop connections.

Advantages

The S/FTP design provides improved protection against crosstalk and external interference compared with unshielded alternatives, making it suitable for installations near power lines or dense cable bundles. With Cat 6a specification, the cable supports higher frequencies and stable throughput for Gigabit and 10 Gigabit Ethernet environments at short to moderate distances. The factory-terminated RJ-45 connectors ensure plug-and-play compatibility with switches, routers, network interface cards and patch panels. The white jacket offers a discreet appearance for office and home installations.

Suitable for

• Connecting desktop computers, laptops and network devices to switches and routers
• Patch panel and rack connections in office or data cabinet setups
• Short-run 10 Gigabit Ethernet links within a room or between nearby racks
• Environments requiring reduced electromagnetic interference and improved signal integrity

Key specifications

• Cable length: 1 m
• Standard: Category 6a (Cat 6a)
• Shielding: S/FTP (overall braid plus individual foil around pairs)
• Connectors: RJ-45 to RJ-45, factory-terminated
• Colour: White
• Suitable for Gigabit and 10 Gigabit Ethernet over short distances

How to use

Insert each RJ-45 connector into the corresponding Ethernet port on your devices until the latch clicks. Ensure connectors are fully seated on network equipment such as switches, routers or network interface cards. For rack or patch panel connections, route the cable to avoid sharp bends and avoid placing it parallel to unshielded power cables where possible. Use appropriate cable management to maintain performance and airflow in network cabinets.

Recommendations

For best performance, use the cable for short to moderate runs and avoid excessive bending or tension. When installing multiple shielded cables, ensure proper grounding of equipment and chassis to take full advantage of the S/FTP shielding. Store and route the cable in a way that minimizes exposure to heat sources and mechanical stress.
