Netwerkkabel Helos CAT6 S/FTP (PIMF) 0,25 m blauw

The Helos CAT6 S/FTP (PIMF) 0.25m Blue networking cable is a short patch cable designed for reliable Gigabit Ethernet connections. With CAT6 performance and S/FTP (shielded foil over individual pairs with overall braid) construction, the cable supports high-speed data transmission for 10/100/1000Base-T(X) networks. Both ends are fitted with standard RJ-45 plugs for universal compatibility with network switches, routers, patch panels and network interface cards. The compact 0.25 m length is suited to tidy cable runs between closely spaced devices and reduces slack in structured cabling setups.

Advantages

The S/FTP (PIMF) shielding reduces electromagnetic interference and crosstalk, improving signal integrity in environments with multiple adjacent cables or electronic equipment. CAT6 specification enables reliable Gigabit throughput and better performance margin compared to lower category cables. The short 0.25 m length minimizes latency and cable clutter while maintaining full mechanical stability with molded RJ-45 connectors. The blue jacket provides visual identification within a multi-cable installation.

Suitable for

• Connecting a network switch to a router or firewall over a short distance
• Patch connections in server racks or network cabinets where devices are closely positioned
• Desktop or workstation connections to wall outlets or patch panels
• Home networking setups requiring Gigabit Ethernet performance

Key specifications

• Cable category: CAT6
• Shielding: S/FTP (foil around pairs with overall braid)
• Length: 0.25 m
• Connectors: RJ-45 to RJ-45
• Supported standards: 10/100/1000Base-T(X)
• Color: Blue

How to use

Plug each RJ-45 connector into the corresponding Ethernet port on your devices, ensuring a firm click to confirm secure connection. Use the cable for short point-to-point links where reduced slack is desired; avoid tight bends and sharp kinks near the connectors. For patch panel installations, route the cable to minimize crossing and maintain separation from power lines to preserve shielding effectiveness.

Recommendations

For best performance, avoid running the cable parallel to mains power cables over long distances and maintain bend radii recommended for category cables. In high-interference environments, ensure proper grounding of connected equipment to complement the cable's S/FTP shielding. Use short patch cables like this 0.25 m variant to keep rack and desk installations tidy and to reduce excess signal reflections.
