Netwerkkabel Helos CAT6a S/FTP PIMF 7,5 m grijs

The Helos CAT6a S/FTP PIMF networking cable is a 7.5 m grey patch cable designed for high-speed Ethernet connections. It uses CAT6a construction with S/FTP (Shielded Foiled/FTP Pair in Metal Foil) shielding and PIMF (Pairs in Metal Foil) design to reduce crosstalk and external interference. Fitted with RJ-45 connectors on both ends, the cable supports 10GBase-T applications and data transfer rates up to 10000 Mbit/s, making it suitable for demanding local area networks, server rooms, and workstations that require stable, high-bandwidth links.

Advantages

The shielded S/FTP PIMF structure provides improved protection against electromagnetic interference compared with unshielded alternatives, helping to maintain signal integrity over the full 7.5 m length. The CAT6a specification and 10GBase-T compatibility enable reliable 10 Gigabit Ethernet performance where supported by network equipment. Factory-terminated RJ-45 connectors ensure straightforward plug-and-play installation and consistent contact quality. The neutral grey jacket offers a discreet appearance for office or data centre installations.

Suitable for

• 10 Gigabit Ethernet connections in LAN environments
• Server racks and switch-to-switch links
• Workstations, desktops and networked storage devices
• Environments where reduced interference and crosstalk are required
• Structured cabling runs up to 7.5 metres

Key specifications

• Cable length: 7.5 m
• Standard: CAT6a
• Shielding: S/FTP (PIMF) – overall foil plus individually shielded pairs
• Connector type: RJ-45 to RJ-45
• Data rate: up to 10000 Mbit/s (10G)
• Supported technology: 10GBase-T
• Colour: Grey

How to use

Connect one RJ-45 connector to the network port of a switch, router or network interface card and the other end to the target device. Ensure connectors are fully inserted until the latch clicks to secure the connection. For structured installations, route the cable without excessive bending or kinking and avoid running parallel to sources of strong electromagnetic noise such as unshielded power cabling or large transformers. The cable is ready to use out of the box and does not require additional termination.

Recommendations

For optimal 10G performance, use the Helos CAT6a S/FTP PIMF cable in combination with shielded RJ-45 ports and properly grounded networking equipment. Maintain bend radii recommended for CAT6a cables, avoid sharp bends and keep cable runs within the specified 7.5 m length for predictable signal performance.
