Netwerkkabel Helos S/FTP (PIMF) CAT 6a 15m

The Helos S/FTP (PIMF) CAT 6a 15m networking cable provides a 15 meter connection for high-speed Ethernet networks. Designed for 10GBase-T environments, this cable supports data transfer rates up to 10000 Mbit/s and uses screened foil twisted pair (S/FTP, PIMF) shielding to reduce crosstalk and external electromagnetic interference. Both ends are fitted with RJ-45 connectors and the cable is finished in blue for easy identification in structured cabling setups.

Advantages

The S/FTP (PIMF) design offers enhanced protection against alien crosstalk and EMI compared with unshielded alternatives, improving signal integrity over longer distances. CAT 6a specification ensures reliable support for 10GBase-T applications while maintaining backward compatibility with lower-speed Ethernet standards. The factory-terminated RJ-45 connectors provide a ready-to-use solution that saves installation time and ensures consistent contact quality.

Suitable for

• 10 Gigabit Ethernet links in offices, server rooms and data closets
• High-bandwidth applications such as video streaming, large file transfers and virtualization
• Structured cabling installations requiring shielded connections to reduce EMI
• Connecting switches, routers, network interface cards and patch panels over 15 m runs

Key specifications

• Cable length: 15 m
• Category: CAT 6a
• Shielding: S/FTP (PIMF) — overall braid/foil with individually foil-shielded pairs
• Cabling technology: 10GBase-T
• Connectors: RJ-45 to RJ-45
• Maximum supported data rate: 10000 Mbit/s
• Colour: Blue

How to use

Route the cable along planned pathways, avoiding sharp bends and sources of strong electromagnetic interference where possible. Insert each RJ-45 connector into the appropriate port on network devices until the latch clicks. For structured installs, label both ends and secure the cable with appropriate ties or clips to prevent strain on connectors. Test the link after installation with a network tester or by verifying link speed and connectivity on connected devices.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, maintain bend radii greater than the cable diameter and separate shielded data cabling from power lines. When used for 10GBase-T connections, verify both endpoints support 10 Gbit/s and ensure patch panels and switch ports are compatible with shielded cabling and properly earthed if required.
