Netwerkkabel LANBERG Cat5e PCU5-10CC-1500-BK RJ-45 naar RJ-45 15 m zwart U/UTP

LANBERG PCU5-10CC-1500-BK Cat5e RJ-45 15 m Black U/UTP is a horizontal network cable designed for wired connections in home and small office environments. The 15 m length allows flexible placement of devices such as desktops, switches and routers while the U/UTP construction helps reduce external electromagnetic interference. Fitted with RJ-45 connectors on both ends and a black outer jacket, the cable is suitable for permanent routing or temporary setups where a discreet appearance is preferred.

Advantages

The cable supports Cat5e performance for reliable Ethernet data transmission over moderate distances and is terminated with standard RJ-45 plugs for compatibility with most network equipment. The unshielded twisted pair design (U/UTP) simplifies installation and reduces sensitivity to nearby noise sources without the need for additional shielding layers. Its 15 m length provides a balance between reach and manageable cable routing, and the black jacket offers basic mechanical protection and a low-visibility finish.

Suitable for

• Connecting PCs, laptops and workstations to switches or routers
• Wiring small office networks and home LANs
• Temporary network setups for events or maintenance
• Patch connections in racks or patch panels within the cable length

Key specifications

• Cable category: Cat5e
• Length: 15 m
• Conductor configuration: U/UTP (unshielded twisted pair)
• Connectors: RJ-45 on both ends
• Outer colour: Black
• Typical use: Ethernet data transmission for 10/100/1000 Mbps environments (performance depends on system configuration)

How to use

Plug one RJ-45 connector into the network port of a device such as a PC, router or switch and insert the other end into the corresponding port on the network equipment. Route the cable to avoid tight bends and sharp edges to maintain signal quality and cable integrity. For permanent installations, secure the cable with suitable clips or cable management accessories to prevent strain on the connectors. If connecting gigabit devices, ensure both endpoints and intermediate equipment support the required speeds.

Recommendations

Use the cable for horizontal and patch cabling within the specified length; avoid running it parallel to high-voltage power lines to reduce interference. Inspect connectors before use and replace the cable if the jacket or plugs show signs of damage. For environments with strong electromagnetic interference or where extra mechanical protection is required, consider a shielded cable or conduit alternative.
