Netwerkkabel ROLINE S/FTP (PiMF) patchkabel RJ-45 Cat.6 20,0 m zwart

Patch cable for networking connections between devices. The ROLINE S/FTP (PiMF) Patch Cord RJ-45 Cat.6 20.0m Black is a 20 m Cat6 patch cable with screened RJ-45 connectors on both ends and complete braid shielding to reduce electromagnetic interference. It uses four-pair stranded copper conductors with each pair shielded by aluminium-clad polyester foil (PiMF) and follows the EIA/TIA 568 contact assignment for 1:1 wiring. The cable is finished in black and designed for reliable data transmission in structured cabling environments.

Advantages

The cable construction combines complete braid shielding and pairwise aluminium foil shielding (S/FTP, PiMF) to provide strong protection against crosstalk and external interference. High-quality moulded RJ-45 plugs include kink protection for improved durability, and gold-plated contacts ensure stable signal transfer. Flexible stranded conductors allow for tighter bends and easier routing in confined spaces while maintaining Cat6 performance.

Suitable for

• Ethernet LAN connections up to Cat6 performance
• Patching between patch panels, switches and network devices
• Office and server-room structured cabling requiring shielded cables
• Installations where reduced electromagnetic interference is needed

Key specifications

• Length: 20 m
• Category: Cat6
• Shielding: S/FTP (overall braid + pair foil, PiMF)
• Connector type: RJ-45 to RJ-45, 1:1 EIA/TIA 568
• Conductor: 4-pair stranded copper
• Contact plating: gold-plated contacts
• Colour: Black

How to use

Connect one RJ-45 plug to the Ethernet port of the network device (switch, router, PC or patch panel) and the other plug to the corresponding port on the opposite device. Ensure connectors are fully inserted until the latch clicks. Route the cable without excessive twisting and avoid sharp bends beyond the cable's minimum bend radius to preserve shielding and performance.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, use this shielded Cat6 patch cord in installations with proper grounding and compatible shielded ports. Avoid running the cable in parallel with high-voltage power lines for long distances to minimise potential interference.
