Netwerkkabel Wentronic 61108 7,5 m Cat8.1 S/FTP RJ-45 wit

The Wentronic 61108 networking cable is a 7.5 m Cat8.1 S/FTP patch cable with RJ-45 connectors on both ends, designed for high-speed Ethernet links. With Cat8.1 compliance and S/FTP shielding, the cable supports data rates up to 40 GBit/s when used with compatible Cat8.1 components, and its white jacket offers a neutral, professional appearance for installation in offices, server rooms, or home networks.

Advantages

The S/FTP construction (foil overall shield with individual braided shields per pair) reduces electromagnetic interference and crosstalk for stable, high-bandwidth performance. Cat8.1 certification ensures compatibility with Cat8.1 RJ45 couplers and installation cables, allowing integration into high-speed structured cabling without switching to fibre optics. RJ-45 connectors provide broad device compatibility and easy plug-and-play installation.

Suitable for

• High-speed LAN backbones and switch-to-switch connections
• Server rooms and data centers requiring up to 40 GBit/s over copper
• Professional office networks and multimedia streaming setups
• Upgrading structured cabling where Cat8.1 components are used

How to use

Connect the RJ-45 plugs to compatible RJ-45 ports on networking devices such as switches, routers, or servers. For optimal performance at 40 GBit/s, use the cable together with Cat8.1-rated couplers and installation cables within a structured cabling system. Ensure connectors are fully inserted and avoid sharp bends or kinks; maintain proper cable management and separation from strong electrical sources to minimise interference.

Recommendations

Use this Cat8.1 S/FTP cable in combination with Cat8.1-certified RJ45 couplers and installation cables for guaranteed high-speed performance. Avoid excessive bending radius, protect connectors from mechanical stress, and keep cable runs within recommended lengths for specific link speeds.
