Netwerkkabel S/CONN ShiverPeaks 75515-SET5 5m Cat7 grijs

The ShiverPeaks Networking Cable S/CONN 75515-SET5 is a 5 m Cat7 Ethernet cable designed for reliable high-speed network connections. Constructed with S/FTP shielding and gold‑plated RJ-45 connectors, this grey cable supports stable data transmission while minimizing electromagnetic interference and crosstalk. Its 5‑metre length provides flexibility for typical home and office layouts where a balance between reach and cable management is required.

Advantages

S/FTP shielding around individual pairs and the overall cable reduces external interference and pair-to-pair crosstalk, which helps maintain signal integrity at higher frequencies. Gold‑plated RJ‑45 plugs improve contact reliability and resist corrosion, contributing to a longer service life and consistent connectivity. The Cat7 specification enables support for higher bandwidths compared with earlier Ethernet categories, making this cable suitable for demanding network uses that require low latency and stable throughput.

Suitable for

• Home network connections between router, switch, and desktop or media devices
• Office workstations and small server connections requiring reliable wired links
• Audio/video streaming setups where stable high-speed transport is needed
• Network points where reduced electromagnetic interference is important

Key specifications

• Cable category: Cat7
• Length: 5 metres
• Shielding: S/FTP (overall braid with individually shielded pairs)
• Connectors: RJ-45 with gold plating
• Color: Grey

How to use

Connect one gold‑plated RJ‑45 plug to your network device (router, switch, or network card) and the other end to the corresponding port on the target device. Ensure connectors are fully inserted until they click to secure the connection. Route the cable to avoid sharp bends and sources of strong electromagnetic noise to preserve signal quality. For wall or trunking installations, verify that the chosen routing maintains the cable's bend radius and does not exceed recommended tension.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, use this Cat7 cable for wired connections where consistent high throughput is required; avoid running the cable parallel to heavy electrical wiring or near large motors. Periodically inspect connector contacts for dust or debris and replace the cable if physical damage to the jacket or connectors is present.
