Netwerkkabel Sharkoon Cat.6a SFTP RJ-45 Cat6a 1,5 m zwart

The Sharkoon Cat.6a SFTP RJ-45 Cat6a 1.5 m Black networking cable provides a 1.5 metre connection for wired network equipment. Designed for Cat6a performance, the cable uses S/FTP (shielded foil twisted pair) construction to reduce electromagnetic interference and crosstalk, and comes terminated with RJ-45 connectors on both ends. The black outer jacket offers a neutral appearance suitable for home or office installations where a short, reliable Ethernet connection is needed for desktop PCs, switches, routers or wall ports.

Advantages

Shielded S/FTP construction improves signal integrity in environments with nearby electrical equipment or multiple network lines. Cat6a specification support enables higher data rates and more stable Gigabit and 10 Gigabit Ethernet connections over short distances. Standard RJ-45 terminations ensure compatibility with common network devices while the 1.5 m length reduces cable clutter for close-proximity connections.

Suitable for

• Connecting a desktop PC or laptop to a router or switch within close range
• Linking networked devices in home offices and small business environments
• Short runs between patch panels and wall ports in structured cabling
• Environments with potential electromagnetic interference where shielding is beneficial

Key specifications

• Cable category: Cat6a
• Shielding: S/FTP (shielded foil with individually shielded pairs)
• Connectors: RJ-45 — both ends
• Length: 1.5 m
• Color: Black

How to use

Insert an RJ-45 connector end into the Ethernet port of the network device and the other end into the corresponding port on the switch, router or wall jack until the connector clicks into place. Ensure both devices are powered and configured for the desired network speed. For optimal performance, avoid tight bends and do not place heavy objects on the cable. If routing through conduit or behind furniture, leave a gentle radius to prevent kinking.

Recommendations

Use this Cat6a S/FTP cable for short-distance, high-performance wired links where reduced interference is important. For longer runs or outdoor installations, select cables rated specifically for those environments. Periodically inspect connectors for secure seating and replace the cable if the jacket or connectors show visible damage.
