Netwerkkabel Sharkoon Cat.6a SFTP RJ-45 Cat6a 15 m grijs

The Sharkoon Cat.6a SFTP RJ-45 Cat6a 15 m Grey networking cable provides a 15 meter connection for high-speed wired networks. Constructed with S/FTP shielding, this Cat6a cable reduces electromagnetic interference and crosstalk to maintain stable data transfer rates. Both ends feature standard RJ-45 connectors for compatibility with routers, switches, network interface cards and other Ethernet-enabled devices. The grey jacket offers a neutral appearance suitable for home or office installation.

Advantages

S/FTP shielding (overall foil plus individually shielded pairs) improves resistance to external interference and helps preserve signal integrity over longer runs. The Cat6a performance class supports higher frequencies and sustained throughput compared with lower-category cables, enabling Gigabit and multi-gigabit Ethernet links where supported by connected equipment. Factory-terminated RJ-45 connectors ensure secure, plug-and-play compatibility without additional tooling. The 15 m length provides flexibility for routing between distant devices while maintaining a single continuous cable run.

How to use

Plug each RJ-45 connector into the Ethernet ports of the devices you wish to connect, such as a router, switch or computer. Ensure connectors click into place to confirm a secure physical connection. Route the cable to avoid tight bends and sources of strong electromagnetic interference where possible. For mounted equipment, leave slack to enable movement and maintenance without straining the cable or connectors.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, avoid running the cable in parallel alongside high-voltage power lines and keep bend radius above the manufacturer’s minimum. Test link speed after installation to verify negotiated network rates and consider using quality patch panels or keystone jacks for permanent structured cabling installations.
