Netwerkkabel Sharkoon Cat.6a SFTP RJ-45 Cat6a 3 m rood

The Sharkoon Cat.6a SFTP RJ-45 Cat6a 3 m Red is a high-performance networking cable designed for reliable Ethernet connections in home and office environments. With a 3 m length and robust S/FTP (shielded/foiled twisted pair) design, the cable reduces electromagnetic interference and crosstalk for stable data transmission. Both ends feature standard RJ-45 connectors compatible with routers, switches, network cards and other Ethernet-enabled devices. The red jacket provides clear visual identification in multi-cable installations.

Advantages

The S/FTP shielding combines overall braid protection with foil-wrapped pairs to minimize external interference and internal pair-to-pair crosstalk, supporting consistent signal integrity over the full cable length. Category 6a construction enables higher bandwidth and improved performance for demanding network loads compared with lower category cables. The 3 m length offers flexibility for typical desktop or rack setups without excess cable slack. RJ-45 terminations ensure broad compatibility with standard Ethernet ports.

Suitable for

• Connecting PCs, laptops and network devices to routers or switches
• Wired connections for NAS devices and network printers
• Short to medium runs in office desks, server racks or home entertainment systems
• Environments where visual cable identification is helpful (patch panels, bundled runs)

Key specifications

• Cable category: Cat6a (augmented Category 6)
• Shielding: S/FTP (overall braid + foil around each pair)
• Connectors: RJ-45 to RJ-45, gold-plated contacts
• Length: 3 m
• Colour: Red
• Supported speeds: suitable for Gigabit Ethernet and 10 Gigabit Ethernet over appropriate distances

How to use

Connect one RJ-45 plug to the Ethernet port of your device and the other end to your router, switch or wall outlet. Ensure connectors are fully inserted until the latch clicks to maintain a secure connection. Route the cable to avoid sharp bends and heavy compression; keep it away from sources of strong electromagnetic interference where possible. For rack or patch-panel installations, label or follow color-coding practices to maintain an organized topology.

Recommendations

Use the cable for short to medium indoor runs and avoid installing it in direct contact with high-voltage power lines. For permanent or concealed in-wall installation, confirm local building standards and use cables rated for in-wall deployment. Replace damaged cables to preserve connection quality and safety.
