Netwerkkabel Sharkoon Patch SFTP RJ-45 Cat.7a 1 m rood

The Sharkoon Patch SFTP RJ-45 Cat.7a 1m Red network cable is a shielded patch cable designed for high-speed wired connections. Built to Cat.7a specifications and fitted with RJ-45 connectors, this 1-metre SFTP cable supports stable data transfer with reduced electromagnetic interference. The red jacket provides clear visual identification in crowded cable environments and helps organise network setups in home, office, or studio installations.

Advantages

This Cat.7a SFTP cable offers enhanced shielding to minimise crosstalk and external interference, contributing to consistent throughput for latency-sensitive tasks. The RJ-45 terminations provide broad compatibility with routers, switches, network cards and other Ethernet devices. Its one-metre length is convenient for short runs between devices while the durable outer jacket and molded connectors improve longevity and connection reliability.

Suitable for

• Gaming PCs and consoles requiring stable, low-latency connections
• Streaming setups where reliable uplink and downlink are needed
• Office and home networks for connecting routers, switches and patch panels
• Small studio and workstation arrangements with limited cable routing space

Key specifications

• Category: Cat.7a (augmented Category 7)
• Cable type: SFTP (shielded foil twisted pair with overall braid)
• Connector: RJ-45 on both ends
• Length: 1 metre
• Jacket colour: Red
• Intended use: Ethernet networking up to Cat.7a performance levels

How to use

Connect one RJ-45 plug to the Ethernet port of your device and the other to a router, switch or modem. Ensure connectors are fully inserted until the latch clicks to maintain a secure physical and electrical connection. Route the cable to avoid sharp bends, heat sources or heavy compression that could damage the shielding or conductors. For best results, keep the cable run as direct as possible and avoid running alongside high-voltage power lines.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, use the Sharkoon Cat.7a patch cable for short to medium-length runs where high shielding is desired. Inspect connectors periodically for dirt or damage and replace if the outer jacket or plugs show wear. When organising multiple cables, use colour coding and proper strain relief to maintain signal integrity and simplify maintenance.
