Netwerkkabel Sharkoon RJ45 Cat.6 SFTP 1,5 m zwart

The Sharkoon RJ45 Cat.6 SFTP 1.5m Black network cable provides a reliable wired connection for home and office networks. Engineered as a Category 6 SFTP cable, it incorporates shielded twisted pairs to reduce electromagnetic interference and crosstalk, ensuring stable data transfer. With a 1.5 meter length and standard RJ45 connectors, the cable is suitable for connecting PCs, routers, switches, NAS devices and other Ethernet-enabled equipment while maintaining support for gigabit network speeds.

Advantages

The shielded construction (SFTP) helps protect signals from external noise and improves connection stability in environments with multiple electronic devices. Category 6 specification supports higher bandwidth and more reliable transmission compared with older cable categories. The 1.5 m length offers a practical balance between reach and cable management without excess slack. Durable jacket and molded connector boots provide strain relief and reduce wear at contact points.

How to use

Insert each RJ45 connector firmly into the Ethernet ports of the devices you want to connect until the clip clicks. Ensure both devices are powered on and configured for network communication. Route the cable to avoid sharp bends, pinching, or placement near high-voltage power lines to minimize interference and mechanical stress. For wall or patch-panel installations, verify connector seating and test the link using network diagnostics or a cable tester to confirm correct pairing and performance.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, use this Cat.6 SFTP cable for connections up to its specified length and avoid running it parallel to power cables for extended distances. If installing in areas with high electromagnetic noise, ensure proper grounding of network equipment and use shielded patch panels or connectors where applicable. Regularly inspect connectors for damage and replace the cable if you observe intermittent connectivity or visible wear.
