Netwerkkabel ShiverPeaks 08-35083 CAT7 U/UTP RJ45-patchkabel

ShiverPeaks 08-35083 CAT7 U/UTP RJ45 patch cable is a 15 m network cable engineered for high-speed Ethernet links in structured cabling and local area networks. The cable follows Category 7 performance characteristics while using an unshielded/unscreened twisted pair (U/UTP) construction and standard RJ45 terminations for compatibility with common networking equipment. It is intended for use as a patch lead between switches, patch panels, routers and workstations where CAT7-level bandwidth and signal integrity are required over a 15 metre run.

Advantages

The U/UTP CAT7 design provides improved transmission characteristics suitable for high-bandwidth applications while maintaining the installation simplicity of unshielded twisted pair cabling. Standard RJ45 terminations ensure broad compatibility with network ports on switches, routers and patch panels without specialized connectors. A 15 m length offers flexible placement within racks, cabinets and office layouts, reducing the need for intermediate extensions. The cable is designed to meet the electrical and mechanical properties expected from Category 7 patch leads for consistent link performance.

Suitable for

• Connecting switches to patch panels in data rooms and server closets
• Linking routers and access devices to network switches
• Workstation and desktop Ethernet connections requiring CAT7 performance
• Temporary or permanent patching within office cabling runs up to 15 m

Key specifications

• Cable category: Category 7 (CAT7) performance characteristics
• Conductor configuration: Unshielded/unscreened twisted pair (U/UTP)
• Connector type: RJ45 on both ends
• Length: 15 metres
• Color: green
• Intended use: Ethernet patching for up to multi-gigabit networks depending on connected equipment

How to use

Install the cable by plugging one RJ45 connector into the network port of the first device (for example a switch or patch panel) and the other connector into the destination device (router, patch panel or workstation NIC). Ensure connectors click in fully and that the cable is routed to avoid sharp bends, kinks or compression that could affect signal integrity. For rack or cabinet installations, secure excess cable length with appropriate cable management to maintain bend radii and prevent strain on the terminations.

Recommendations

For best results, use the cable within the specified 15 m length for horizontal or patching connections and avoid running it in close parallel alongside high-voltage power lines. Test the link with compatible network test equipment or the connected devices to confirm expected throughput and latency. Replace the cable if RJ45 connectors show wear or if performance degrades.
