Netwerkkabel ShiverPeaks 08-64053 CAT6 S/FTP PIMF, 4 paar, afgeschermde twisted pair

ShiverPeaks Network Cable 08-64053 is a CAT6 S/FTP PIMF cable engineered for structured cabling and high-speed Ethernet links. It features four individually shielded twisted pairs with an overall braided shield (S/FTP), providing improved protection against crosstalk and external electromagnetic interference. The cable is suitable for installations that require reliable Gigabit Ethernet performance and enhanced signal integrity within LAN environments.

Advantages

The S/FTP construction combines pair-level foil shielding (PIMF) with an overall braid to minimise near-end and far-end crosstalk and to reduce susceptibility to electromagnetic noise. As a CAT6 class cable, it supports Gigabit Ethernet speeds and offers consistent pair-to-pair balance for stable data transmission. The robust shielding makes this cable appropriate for environments with higher interference or where cable bundles run near power lines or electrical equipment.

Suitable for

• Gigabit Ethernet and high-speed LAN connections
• Structured cabling in office, data center, and commercial premises
• Environments requiring reduced electromagnetic interference and improved signal integrity
• Runs where multiple cables are bundled or in proximity to electrical wiring

Key specifications

• Category: CAT6
• Shielding: S/FTP (overall braid + individually foil-shielded pairs)
• Conductor configuration: 4 twisted pairs
• Pair construction: PIMF (pairs in metal foil)
• Application: Structured cabling, Ethernet LAN

How to use

Install the cable following standard structured cabling practices: route runs avoiding sharp bends and mechanical stress, maintain recommended bend radius, and terminate with compatible CAT6 S/FTP connectors or keystone jacks that support pair and overall shield terminations. Ensure proper grounding of the overall braid at patch panels or shielded connectors to maintain shielding effectiveness. Test each link after installation with appropriate network testers to verify continuity, pair mapping and performance parameters for CAT6.

Recommendations

For best performance, separate shielded cable runs from sources of strong electromagnetic interference where possible, and use shielded patch panels and connectors to preserve the cable's shielding continuity. Verify installation with a certified cable tester to confirm Gigabit-capable performance and correct shielding termination.
