Netwerkkabel ShiverPeaks 75517-SLG CAT 7 U/FTP platte kabel, afgeschermde paren, hogesnelheidsdata

ShiverPeaks 75517-SLG CAT 7 U/FTP flat cable is a shielded network cable engineered for high-speed wired Ethernet applications. The cable uses individually shielded twisted pairs (U/FTP) to reduce crosstalk and external electromagnetic interference, and its flat profile simplifies routing in constrained spaces such as under carpets, along skirting boards, or behind furniture. It supports modern LAN, backbone and server-room deployments where stable Gigabit and 10 Gigabit-capable links are required.

Advantages

The U/FTP construction provides pair-level shielding that improves signal integrity and reduces near-end crosstalk, helping to maintain higher throughput over longer distances in electrically noisy environments. The flat, slim design eases installation in tight channels and allows the cable to lie closer to surfaces for a neater appearance. Conductor and insulation choices optimize performance at higher frequencies defined for Category 7 standards, enabling reliable data transmission for demanding network loads.

Suitable for

• Wired LAN connections in homes and offices
• 10 Gigabit-capable links for server rooms and network backbones
• Routing under carpets, along skirting boards, and through narrow cable channels
• Environments where reduced electromagnetic interference is important

Key specifications

• Category: CAT 7 performance class
• Shielding: U/FTP (each twisted pair individually shielded, overall jacket)
• Profile: flat/slim for low-profile routing
• Data rates: suitable for Gigabit and 10 Gigabit Ethernet applications
• Use case: structured cabling for LAN, backbone and server deployments
• Construction: twisted pairs with individual pair shields to reduce crosstalk

How to use

Prepare standard RJ45 connectors or compatible CAT 7 terminations when installing the cable. Route the flat cable along the intended path, avoiding sharp bends and excessive tensile force; its slim profile allows it to be laid under floor coverings or clipped discreetly along skirting. Terminate and test each link with appropriate certification or cable tester equipment to verify continuity, shielding integrity, and compliance with expected throughput. For best results, maintain separation from power lines and strong EMI sources during routing.

Recommendations

When terminating, use RJ45 plugs or shielded keystone jacks rated for CAT 7 to preserve the effectiveness of the pair shielding. Limit bend radius and avoid stretching the cable; frequent tight bends can degrade performance. Test links after installation to confirm performance at the required data rate.
