Netwerkkabel shiverpeaks BASIC-S 0,25 m Cat7 S/FTP groen

The shiverpeaks BASIC-S 0.25m Cat7 S/FTP Green is a short, high-performance networking cable designed for reliable, high-speed data transmission in structured cabling and point-to-point connections. At 0.25 meters length it connects devices in close proximity—such as wall sockets, switches, patch panels and servers—while maintaining Cat7 performance with individually shielded pairs and an overall foil shield to minimise electromagnetic interference. The cable is fitted with RJ-45 connectors featuring gold-plated contacts to ensure consistent conductivity and corrosion resistance, and its green jacket provides a clear visual identifier in multi-cable installations.

Advantages

The S/FTP construction combines foil overall shielding with individually shielded twisted pairs, reducing crosstalk and external interference for stable signal quality at high frequencies. Gold-plated RJ-45 contacts improve long-term contact reliability and reduce contact resistance. The short 0.25 m length minimises excess cable slack in dense patching environments and supports tidy cable management. The green jacket offers quick visual identification, useful in complex racks and patch panels.

Suitable for

• Connecting network equipment in racks and patch panels where short patch cables are required
• Point-to-point connections between switches and adjacent devices
• High-speed LAN environments requiring Cat7 shielding for reduced interference
• Environments where cable identification by color simplifies maintenance

Key specifications

• Cable category: Cat7 (Class F) performance
• Shielding: S/FTP — overall foil shield with individually shielded twisted pairs
• Length: 0.25 m
• Connector type: RJ-45
• Contact plating: Gold-plated contacts
• Jacket color: Green
• Typical use: Ethernet data transmission up to Cat7 frequencies

How to use

Insert the RJ-45 connector securely into the corresponding port until the latch clicks to ensure proper contact. Use the 0.25 m cable to create short patch connections between adjacent ports on switches, patch panels, or network equipment to avoid excess cable loop. Route the cable to prevent sharp bends and avoid running it parallel to strong electromagnetic sources when possible. For best performance, ensure both ends are fully seated and that connectors are free of debris before operation.
