Netwerkkabel shiverpeaks BASIC-S 20 m Cat7 S/FTP blauw

The ShiverPeaks BASIC-S 20m Cat7 S/FTP networking cable is designed for high-speed wired connections in home and professional environments. This 20-metre cable uses Category 7 specification with S/FTP shielding to reduce electromagnetic interference and ensure stable data transmission. Fitted with RJ-45 connectors plated in gold, the cable supports reliable contacts and reduced signal loss. The blue jacket provides clear visual identification in cable runs and server rooms.

Advantages

The cable's Cat7 specification and S/FTP design provide enhanced shielding with individually foil-wrapped pairs and an overall braided shield, which limits crosstalk and external interference. Gold-plated RJ-45 connectors improve conductivity and corrosion resistance for long-term reliability. With a 20 m length, the cable allows flexible installation between devices without intermediate patch panels. The blue outer jacket is durable and easy to route, offering both functional and organizational benefits in network setups.

Key specifications

• Cable category: Cat7 (Class F)
• Shielding: S/FTP — overall braided shield plus individually foil-wrapped pairs
• Length: 20 metres
• Connector type: RJ-45
• Connector plating: Gold-plated contacts
• Colour: Blue outer jacket
• Transmission: Suitable for high-speed Ethernet applications, including 10 Gbps over appropriate channel conditions
• Cable construction: Twisted pairs with pair-level foil and overall braid for improved noise rejection

How to use

Connect one RJ-45 end to a network device such as a router, switch or network interface card and the other end to the corresponding device port. Ensure connectors are fully seated and clips engage to maintain physical connection. Avoid sharp bends, kinking, or placing the cable under heavy objects to preserve shielding and conductor integrity. Keep the cable routed away from high-power electrical lines and sources of electromagnetic interference when possible.
