Netwerkkabel ShiverPeaks BASIC-S Cat7 0,25 m zwart U/FTP

The ShiverPeaks BASIC-S Cat7 0.25m Black U/FTP networking cable provides a short, high-performance connection option for network devices requiring shielded twisted-pair cabling. With RJ-45 connectors on both ends and U/FTP shielding (overall unshielded braid with individually foil-shielded pairs), this 0.25 meter cable is designed for reliable signal integrity in compact or patching applications where Category 7 performance is desired. The black jacket offers a neutral appearance suitable for rack, patch panel or desktop setups.

Advantages

The U/FTP construction reduces crosstalk between pairs and improves protection against external electromagnetic interference compared to unshielded cables, supporting stable high-speed data transmission. Short length minimizes latency and clutter in patching environments while maintaining Category 7 specification characteristics. The RJ-45 connectors provide broad compatibility with modern network equipment while the compact cable is simple to route in dense installations.

Suitable for

• Patching between switches and patch panels in server rooms and data cabinets
• Connecting network devices (PCs, routers, NAS) in tight spaces
• Short cable runs in high-density rack or desktop environments
• Setups requiring improved shielding to reduce EMI and crosstalk

Key specifications

• Category: Cat7 performance class
• Length: 0.25 m
• Shielding: U/FTP (overall without braid, each pair foil-shielded)
• Connector type: RJ-45 on both ends
• Color: Black
• Conductor: Stranded copper suitable for patch applications

How to use

Plug one RJ-45 connector into the network port of a device and the other connector into a switch, router or wall outlet. Ensure connectors are fully inserted until they click to secure the connection. For best performance, avoid sharp bends and excessive tension on the cable; keep the cable length appropriate for the application and avoid running it alongside high-voltage power lines to reduce potential interference.

Recommendations

Use this 0.25 m Cat7 U/FTP cable for short patching runs where improved shielding is required. In environments with elevated electromagnetic interference, pair it with properly grounded network equipment and shielded patch panels to maintain signal integrity. Store the cable coiled loosely and avoid repeated high-stress flexing to extend service life.
