Netwerkkabel shiverpeaks BASIC-S Cat7 15m grijs U/FTP STP

The ShiverPeaks BASIC-S Cat7 15m Grey U/FTP STP networking cable is a shielded Ethernet cable designed for reliable high-speed data transmission in home and office networks. It is constructed with individually foil-shielded pairs and an overall shield to reduce electromagnetic interference, and terminated with RJ-45 connectors on both ends to connect switches, routers, patch panels and network devices over a 15 meter distance.

Advantages

This U/FTP (STP) Cat7 cable provides improved protection against alien crosstalk and external electromagnetic interference compared with unshielded cables, supporting stable throughput for bandwidth-intensive applications. The 15 m length offers flexibility for routing between equipment across rooms or racks, while the robust outer sheath and reliable RJ-45 terminations ensure consistent physical and electrical contact for long-term use.

Suitable for

• Wired connections between desktop PCs, switches, and routers in home and small office setups
• Patching between network outlets and wall plates or patch panels
• High-bandwidth activities such as 4K streaming, online gaming, video conferencing and large file transfers
• Environments with potential electromagnetic interference where shielded cabling is preferred

Key specifications

• Cable category: Cat7
• Length: 15 meters
• Shielding: U/FTP (individually foil-shielded pairs with overall shield), STP
• Connector type: RJ-45 on both ends
• Outer jacket color: Grey
• Conductor type: Twisted pair copper

How to use

Connect the RJ-45 connector at each end of the cable to the corresponding Ethernet ports on network devices such as a router, switch, PC or patch panel. Ensure connectors are fully inserted until the latch clicks. Route the cable avoiding sharp bends, kinks and proximity to strong sources of electrical noise where possible. For installations through metal conduits or near equipment racks, maintain correct grounding practices for shielded cabling to preserve shielding effectiveness.

Recommendations

Use this Cat7 U/FTP cable for runs up to 15 m where higher immunity to interference is needed. When terminating or patching shielded cables, verify that connectors and patch panels support shielded termination and provide proper grounding. Avoid excessive bending radius and keep cable runs separate from mains power lines to maintain signal integrity.
