Netwerkkabel shiverpeaks BASIC-S rood 0,25 m Cat7 S/FTP

The ShiverPeaks BASIC-S Red 0.25 m Cat7 S/FTP networking cable is a short patch lead designed for reliable high-speed Ethernet connections. Constructed to Cat7 standards with S/FTP shielding and gold-plated RJ-45 connectors, this 0.25 metre cable delivers consistent signal quality in compact installations where a short, visible patch lead is required. The red jacket provides an easy way to identify and route connections in patch panels, racks, or desktop setups.

Advantages

The S/FTP shielding (overall foil plus individually shielded pairs) reduces electromagnetic interference and crosstalk, supporting stable high-bandwidth data transfer. Gold-plated RJ-45 plugs improve contact reliability and corrosion resistance for long-term performance. The short 0.25 m length minimises excess cable clutter while keeping latency and signal loss low in close-proximity connections. The red outer sheath offers clear visual identification for organized cabling.

Suitable for

• Short patch connections between switches, patch panels and wall outlets
• Desktop or server rack link where minimal cable slack is required
• Environments requiring improved EMI protection for high-speed Ethernet
• Colour-coded network installations and temporary test setups

Key specifications

• Cable category: Cat7
• Shielding: S/FTP (overall foil + individually shielded pairs)
• Length: 0.25 m
• Connector type: RJ-45, gold-plated contacts
• Conductor arrangement: twisted pairs suitable for high-speed LAN
• Outer jacket colour: red

How to use

Connect one RJ-45 connector to the network port of your switch, router, or patch panel and the other connector to the device or outlet requiring network access. Ensure connectors are fully inserted until they click to secure the connection. Use the short cable to bridge adjacent ports or devices where longer cables would cause clutter. Avoid sharp bends at the connector ends and do not pull on the cable jacket when disconnecting; press the connector latch and remove gently.

Recommendations

For best performance, use this Cat7 S/FTP cable for short-distance links within the same rack or between closely located devices. Maintain bend radii above manufacturer recommendations for Cat7 cables and keep connectors free of dust. For climate-controlled server rooms or office environments, the cable's shielding supports reliable high-speed operation while the red colour assists in organised cable management.
