Netwerkkabel shiverpeaks BASIC-S rood 15 m Cat7 S/FTP

The ShiverPeaks BASIC-S Red 15 m Cat7 S/FTP networking cable provides a stable wired connection for high-speed data transfer in home and small office networks. This Cat7 cable supports multi-gigabit throughput and features S/FTP shielding to reduce electromagnetic and crosstalk interference. Gold-plated RJ-45 connectors deliver consistent contact conductivity and corrosion resistance while the 15 metre length allows flexible placement of network devices. The cable's red jacket offers clear visual identification in structured cabling or desktop setups.

Advantages

S/FTP shielding combines an overall foil screen with individually shielded pairs, improving resistance to external interference and limiting pair-to-pair crosstalk. Gold-plated RJ-45 plugs provide reliable contact and reduced oxidation over time. As a Cat7-rated cable, it is suitable for higher bandwidth applications and future-proofing against evolving network speeds. The 15 m length balances reach and manageable cable routing without the need for intermediate extenders.

Suitable for

• Connecting routers, switches and modems in home and small office networks
• Wired connections for gaming consoles, desktop PCs and media players
• Structured cabling where color-coded identification is required
• Multi-gigabit LAN segments and high-bandwidth applications

Key specifications

• Cable category: Cat7 (S/FTP)
• Length: 15 m
• Connectors: RJ-45 with gold-plated contacts
• Shielding: Overall foil with individually shielded twisted pairs (S/FTP)
• Conductor: Twisted pair copper conductors
• Outer jacket color: Red

How to use

Plug one gold-plated RJ-45 connector into the Ethernet port of your router, switch or network device and the other connector into the target device. Ensure connectors are fully inserted until the latch clicks to secure the connection. Route the cable to avoid sharp bends and pinching points; maintain the natural bend radius to preserve performance. For wall or ceiling runs, use appropriate clips or cable management to prevent strain on connectors.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, avoid running the cable parallel and close to power lines or sources of strong electromagnetic noise. Use the cable for wired connections that require stable, low-latency links; periodically inspect connectors for debris and replace if contacts show signs of wear or corrosion.
