Netwerkkabel ShiverPeaks BS08-22050 5m Cat6 U/UTP

The ShiverPeaks BS08-22050 5m Cat6 U/UTP networking cable is designed for wired Ethernet connections in home and office environments. This grey cable supports Cat6 performance and comes with RJ-45 connectors plated in gold to ensure consistent signal transmission and reduce contact corrosion. The cable construction provides support for Gigabit Ethernet speeds up to 1000 Mbit/s and is suited for short to medium cable runs where stable, low-latency connections are required.

Advantages

The Cat6 specification in this ShiverPeaks cable provides improved bandwidth and reduced crosstalk compared with lower category cables, helping maintain data integrity for high-speed network traffic. The U/UTP shielding offers a balance between protection from external interference and flexibility for routing. Gold-plated RJ-45 connectors enhance contact reliability and minimize oxidation for long-term performance. A five-meter length covers common desk-to-router and inter-room connections without excess slack.

Suitable for

• Gigabit Ethernet connections in home networks
• Wired office workstations and small business networks
• Connecting switches, routers, modems, or patch panels
• Applications requiring low latency such as video conferencing and VoIP
• Temporary or permanent cabling where a 5 m reach is appropriate

Key specifications

• Category: Cat6
• Length: 5 m
• Shielding: U/UTP (overall unshielded twisted pair with unshielded pairs)
• Connector type: RJ-45
• Connector plating: gold-plated contacts
• Maximum supported data rate: up to 1000 Mbit/s (Gigabit Ethernet)
• Color: grey

How to use

Connect one RJ-45 end to your network device (router, switch, modem, or network card) and the other end to the target device. Ensure connectors are fully inserted until a click confirms a secure latching. For optimal performance, avoid tight bends and kinks; maintain gentle curves and do not crush the cable under heavy objects. When routing the cable near sources of strong electromagnetic interference, allow some separation where possible to reduce potential signal degradation.

Recommendations

Use this 5 m Cat6 cable for direct device-to-device connections within the same room or between adjacent rooms. For installations requiring permanent in-wall routing, verify local building codes and consider using cable types rated for in-wall use. For higher than Gigabit speeds or environments with strong electromagnetic interference, consider higher-category shielded options.
