Netwerkkabel ShiverPeaks BS08-26105 zwart 25 m Cat6a S/FTP

The ShiverPeaks BS08-26105 Black 25m Cat6a S/FTP is a high-performance Ethernet cable designed to support demanding wired networks. This 25-metre cable uses Category 6a specification and S/FTP (shielded foil twisted pair) construction to maintain signal integrity at higher data rates and reduce electromagnetic interference. Fitted with gold-plated RJ-45 connectors, the cable provides reliable contact and corrosion resistance while its black jacket offers a discreet, professional appearance suitable for visible runs in offices or homes.

Advantages

The S/FTP shielding and Cat6a specification enable stable transmission for 10 Gigabit Ethernet over the full 25 m length, while reducing crosstalk and external noise. Gold-plated RJ-45 connectors improve conductivity and contact longevity. The 25 m length allows flexible placement of devices without the need for additional patching, and the black outer sheath resists dirt and blends with most interiors.

Suitable for

• 10 Gigabit Ethernet connections in small offices and home networks
• High-bandwidth applications such as video streaming, online gaming, and large file transfers
• Connections between switches, routers, patch panels, and desktop workstations
• Environments where reduced electromagnetic interference is required, such as near power lines or bundled cable runs

Key specifications

• Cable category: Cat6a suitable for 10 Gbps network speeds
• Shielding: S/FTP (overall foil with individually shielded twisted pairs)
• Length: 25 metres
• Connectors: RJ-45 with gold-plated contacts for improved conductivity
• Color: Black outer jacket
• Typical use: Ethernet patch and permanent link installations

How to use

Route the cable between network devices ensuring that bends are gentle and not tighter than the recommended bend radius for Cat6a cabling. Insert the RJ-45 plugs firmly into device ports until they click into place. For installations involving wall outlets or patch panels, verify that the cable terminations and connector wiring follow the same wiring standard (T568A or T568B) at both ends. After connection, test the link with a network tester or confirm device network status to ensure proper operation and expected throughput.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, avoid running the cable in parallel with high-voltage power lines and limit sharp bends or repeated flexing. When installing in structured cabling, maintain consistent wiring standards at both ends and consider using cable management accessories to secure and protect the run. Periodic inspection of connector contacts and cable jacket will help maintain reliable long-term operation.
