Netwerkkabel ShiverPeaks BS08-35092 geel 20 m Cat7 U/UTP

The ShiverPeaks BS08-35092 Yellow 20m Cat7 U/UTP networking cable is a high-performance Ethernet patch cable designed for wired connections that require high bandwidth and reliable signal transmission. This 20-meter cable conforms to Category 7 (Cat7) specifications, uses U/UTP (unshielded twisted pair with overall unshielded jacket) construction, and comes with RJ-45 connectors plated with gold to improve contact quality and resist corrosion. It supports data transfer rates up to 10000 Mbit/s, making it suitable for modern network environments that demand fast and stable connectivity.

Advantages

The cable provides Cat7-level performance, which offers improved bandwidth and reduced crosstalk compared with lower-category cables. Gold-plated RJ-45 connectors ensure consistent contact and reduced oxidation over time. The 20 m length covers longer runs between devices without additional patching, and the vivid yellow jacket enhances visibility for easier cable management in crowded racks or workspaces. U/UTP construction balances performance with flexibility for typical indoor installations.

Suitable for

• Connecting switches, routers, and patch panels in server rooms and network closets
• Wiring desktop PCs, workstations, and VoIP phones to a local network
• High-speed data transfer for NAS devices and media servers
• Temporary or permanent cabling in offices, home networks, and small data centers

Key specifications

• Category: Cat7
• Length: 20 m
• Cable shielding: U/UTP (unshielded overall with twisted pairs)
• Connector type: RJ-45
• Connector plating: Gold-plated contacts
• Maximum data rate: up to 10000 Mbit/s
• Cable color: Yellow

How to use

Inspect the cable and connectors before installation to ensure no visible damage. Plug one RJ-45 connector into the network device (switch, router, patch panel or NIC) and the other end into the corresponding port. Ensure connectors click into place to confirm a secure mechanical and electrical connection. For best signal integrity, avoid sharp bends, excessive stretching, and routing the cable parallel to high-voltage power lines. When arranging multiple cables, use labels or colored cables like this yellow jacket to simplify identification.

Recommendations

Use this Cat7 U/UTP cable for indoor Ethernet runs where higher bandwidth and clear identification are needed. For environments with strong electromagnetic interference or where individual pair shielding is required, consider shielded cable variants. Keep bend radius above the manufacturer-recommended limit and avoid running the cable alongside mains power to minimize interference and maintain optimal data transfer performance.
