Netwerkkabel ShiverPeaks BS08-40041 blauw 3m Cat8 S/FTP

The ShiverPeaks BS08-40041 Blue 3m Cat8 S/FTP is a high-performance network cable designed for demanding wired Ethernet connections. This 3‑meter Cat8 cable uses S/FTP shielding to reduce electromagnetic interference and maintain signal integrity across high-speed networks. Equipped with RJ‑45 connectors and gold‑plated contacts, it supports stable data transmission and is suitable for modern home and office network environments. The blue jacket provides a clear visual identifier in cabling runs.

Advantages

This Cat8 S/FTP cable delivers improved protection against external noise thanks to its foil-wrapped pairs and overall braid shield, which helps maintain consistent throughput at higher frequencies. Gold‑plated contacts on the RJ‑45 plugs enhance corrosion resistance and connection reliability. The 3 m length balances reach and cable management flexibility, while the durable outer jacket offers mechanical protection for frequent handling and routing.

Suitable for

• High-speed LAN connections in data centers and server rooms
• Wired connections for 10G/25G and multi-gigabit switches and routers
• Direct device-to-device connections (PCs, NAS, workstations)
• Structured cabling in offices and multimedia workspaces

Key specifications

• Cable category: Cat8
• Shielding: S/FTP (overall braid with individually foil‑shielded pairs)
• Length: 3 m
• Connector type: RJ‑45
• Contact plating: Gold‑plated contacts
• Color: Blue

How to use

Connect each RJ‑45 plug to the corresponding Ethernet port on your network devices, ensuring the plug clicks into place for a secure connection. Route the cable avoiding sharp bends and excessive tension to preserve shielding and conductor integrity. For best performance, keep the cable separated from high-voltage power lines and sources of strong electromagnetic interference.

Recommendations

Use this Cat8 S/FTP cable for short to medium runs up to 3 m where high-frequency performance and reduced crosstalk are required. Verify device compatibility with Cat8 or multi-gigabit Ethernet speeds to ensure you achieve intended throughput. Regularly inspect connectors and jacket condition when moving or reconfiguring equipment.
