Netwerkkabel ShiverPeaks BS08-41006-4 Cat8.1 F/FTP 1m

The ShiverPeaks BS08-41006-4 Cat8.1 F/FTP 1m networking cable is designed for high-speed wired connections in home and office networks. This 1 metre cable supports the Cat8.1 standard and uses F/FTP shielding to reduce electromagnetic interference and crosstalk. It is fitted with RJ-45 connectors plated in gold to ensure reliable contact and stable data transmission for demanding applications such as large file transfers, streaming and low-latency network services.

Advantages

The F/FTP shielding structure combines an overall foil shield with individually shielded twisted pairs to provide improved protection against external interference and pair-to-pair crosstalk. Cat8.1 specification enables transmission at frequencies suitable for multi-gigabit Ethernet, delivering higher bandwidth and lower latency compared with lower category cables. Gold-plated RJ-45 connectors improve corrosion resistance and contact quality, supporting consistent signal integrity over repeated insertions.

Suitable for

• High-speed LAN connections in home and office environments
• Connecting switches, routers, NAS devices and network-attached equipment
• Multi-gigabit Ethernet applications and data centers requiring short, high-performance links
• Low-latency gaming, 4K/8K video streaming and large file transfers

Key specifications

• Category: Cat8.1
• Shielding: F/FTP (overall foil + individually foil-shielded pairs)
• Length: 1 metre
• Connector type: RJ-45
• Connector plating: gold-plated contacts
• Intended use: horizontal/patch connections for high-speed Ethernet

How to use

Connect one RJ-45 end to your network device (router, switch, modem or network card) and the other end to the corresponding port on the target device. Ensure connectors are fully inserted until they latch to maintain stable contact. For best performance, avoid tightly bending the cable near the connectors and keep the cable length appropriate for your installation to minimize signal degradation. Use the cable for short runs where multi-gigabit performance and reduced interference are required.

Recommendations

For optimal results, route the cable away from strong sources of electromagnetic interference such as power transformers, large motors or poorly shielded fluorescent lighting. Use the 1 m length for patching between devices in racks or desktop setups, and inspect connector contacts periodically if used in high-insertion environments.
