Netwerkkabel ShiverPeaks BS08-41014 rood 0,5 m Cat8.1 F/FTP

The ShiverPeaks BS08-41014 Red 0.5m Cat8.1 F/FTP networking cable is a short patch cable designed for high-speed local connections. Compliant with Cat8.1 performance parameters and featuring F/FTP shielding, this 0.5 meter cable supports high data throughput and reduces electromagnetic interference. Gold-plated RJ-45 connectors provide stable contact and improved corrosion resistance, while the red jacket offers easy identification in dense cable installations.

Advantages

This Cat8.1 F/FTP cable delivers data transfer rates up to 40000 Mbit/s suitable for demanding network segments and short-distance links. The foil-over-each-pair plus overall foil shielding minimizes crosstalk and external interference, helping maintain signal integrity. Gold-plated RJ-45 connectors ensure reliable mating and longer connector life. The compact 0.5 m length reduces clutter in racks and workstations and is convenient for patching between nearby devices. The red outer sheath simplifies cable management by allowing quick visual identification.

Suitable for

• Short-distance patch connections in server rooms and data centres
• Connecting switches, routers and high-speed NICs within racks
• Workstation or desktop connections where minimal cable slack is desired
• Environments requiring reduced electromagnetic interference and high bandwidth

Key specifications

• Category: Cat8.1
• Shielding: F/FTP (overall foil + foil around each pair)
• Length: 0.5 m
• Maximum data rate: up to 40000 Mbit/s
• Connector type: RJ-45 with gold-plated contacts
• Cable colour: red

How to use

Insert the RJ-45 connectors fully into the corresponding ports on network devices until a click confirms engagement. Use this 0.5 m Cat8.1 cable to create short, direct links between adjacent equipment such as switch-to-switch or switch-to-server connections. Ensure connectors and ports are free from debris before mating. Do not bend the cable sharply near the connectors; maintain gentle curves to preserve shielding and pair integrity.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, use this cable for links where the full bandwidth and shielding benefits are required over short distances. Avoid tight cable ties and avoid routing the cable parallel to high-voltage power lines to minimise interference. Inspect connectors periodically for wear and replace the cable if contacts become loose or damaged.
