Netwerkkabel ShiverPeaks BS08-41072 10m Cat8.1 F/FTP geel

The ShiverPeaks BS08-41072 10m Cat8.1 F/FTP Yellow networking cable delivers a high-bandwidth wired connection for demanding home and professional networks. Constructed to the Cat8.1 standard with F/FTP shielding and outfitted with RJ-45 connectors plated in gold, the cable supports high-speed data transfer and minimizes electromagnetic interference. The 10-metre length and bright yellow jacket make the cable easy to route and identify within racks, under desks, or across open spaces.

Advantages

F/FTP shielding provides enhanced protection against external electromagnetic and radio-frequency interference, improving signal integrity across the full cable length. The Cat8.1 rating supports higher frequencies and bandwidth compared with earlier categories, enabling low-latency, high-throughput network links. Gold-plated RJ-45 connectors offer reliable contact, corrosion resistance and consistent performance over repeated insertions. The conspicuous yellow sheath simplifies cable management and visual identification in multi-cable installations.

Suitable for

• High-speed data transfer between switches, routers and servers
• Low-latency online gaming and 4K/8K video streaming
• Professional network environments such as server rooms and workstations
• Home offices and multimedia setups requiring robust wired connections

Key specifications

• Category: Cat8.1
• Length: 10 m
• Shielding: F/FTP (overall foil with individually foil-shielded pairs)
• Connector type: RJ-45
• Connector plating: Gold-plated contacts
• Cable color: Yellow

How to use

Connect one RJ-45 end to your network device (router, switch or network card) and the other end to the corresponding device port. Ensure both devices support the required network speeds for Cat8.1 performance; otherwise the connection will operate at the highest mutually supported speed. Route the cable to avoid tight bends and compressive forces that could damage the internal pairs or degrade shielding effectiveness. Secure the cable with cable ties or clips as needed, keeping it separate from high-voltage power lines to reduce interference risk.

Recommendations

For best results, install the cable in environments where low EMI is important, maintain bend radius larger than the cable diameter times four, and avoid running parallel to power cables. Test link speed after installation to confirm expected throughput and replace connectors or patch panels that show physical wear to preserve signal quality.
