Netwerkkabel ShiverPeaks BS08-41154 RJ-45 Cat8.1 1,5 m rood

The ShiverPeaks BS08-41154 RJ-45 Cat8.1 1.5m Red is a shielded network cable designed for high-speed wired connections. Compliant with Cat8.1 specifications, the cable supports elevated bandwidth and reduced signal loss. Both ends terminate in RJ-45 connectors with gold-plated contacts to improve conductivity and resist corrosion. The cable features F/FTP shielding to minimise electromagnetic interference and maintain signal integrity in busy environments. Its 1.5 metre length provides a balance between flexibility and reach, while the red jacket makes cable routing and identification easier.

Advantages

This Cat8.1 cable delivers high-frequency performance suitable for demanding data transfer tasks and low-latency applications. Gold-plated RJ-45 contacts enhance long-term connection stability and reduce contact resistance. F/FTP shielding — a foil wrap for each pair plus an overall braid — improves protection against crosstalk and external noise, which is important in environments with multiple cables or nearby electronic equipment. The 1.5 m length reduces excess slack while allowing convenient placement of devices. The red outer sheath provides visual identification for organised cabling systems.

Suitable for

• High-speed LAN connections where Cat8.1 performance is required
• Server racks and data-centre patching where shielded cabling is needed
• Workstations and networked devices located within 1.5 m of switches or routers
• Environments with potential electromagnetic interference from nearby equipment

Key specifications

• Category: Cat8.1
• Length: 1.5 m
• Connectors: RJ-45 to RJ-45
• Contact plating: Gold-plated contacts
• Shielding: F/FTP (foiled pairs with overall shield)
• Colour: Red
• Cable type: Twisted pair, shielded

How to use

Connect one RJ-45 connector to the network port of your switch, router or network device and the other end to the target device. Ensure connectors are fully seated until they click to establish a reliable mechanical and electrical connection. Route the cable to avoid sharp bends and excessive tension; maintain the natural bend radius to preserve shielding and conductor integrity. For installations within cabinets or racks, secure the cable with appropriate ties or management accessories without compressing the shielded jacket.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, use this Cat8.1 cable over short horizontal runs up to typical recommended distances for active equipment, avoid coiling the cable tightly, and keep it separated from unshielded power lines or sources of strong electromagnetic noise. Inspect gold-plated contacts periodically and replace the cable if the jacket or connectors show visible damage.
