Netwerkkabel ShiverPeaks BS08-83035007 Cat7 S/FTP oranje 500 m

The ShiverPeaks BS08-83035007 Cat7 S/FTP networking cable in orange is a 500 m bulk reel designed for structured cabling and high-speed data transmission. Constructed to Cat7 specifications with S/FTP shielding (shielded foil around each pair plus an overall braided shield), this cable supports high bandwidth and minimizes crosstalk and electromagnetic interference, making it suitable for demanding network environments and future-proof installations.

Advantages

The cable provides improved performance compared with lower-category cables thanks to its Cat7 design and S/FTP shielding, offering enhanced resistance to interference and better signal integrity across longer runs. The 500 m length on a single reel facilitates installation in larger sites without frequent joins, while the orange jacket simplifies identification in cable trays and racks. The robust construction supports reliable connections for networks requiring consistent throughput.

Suitable for

• Data centers and server rooms where high bandwidth and low interference are required
• Office backbone and horizontal cabling for Gigabit and multi-Gigabit networks
• Industrial or commercial environments with elevated electromagnetic noise
• Structured cabling projects and new installations that need color-coded identification

Key specifications

• Category: Cat7, suitable for high-bandwidth Ethernet applications
• Shielding: S/FTP — individually foil-shielded pairs plus overall braided shield
• Length: 500 m reel for continuous runs
• Jacket color: Orange for visual identification
• Conductor arrangement: Twisted pairs optimized for reduced crosstalk

How to use

Plan the cable path and ensure compatibility with Cat7 termination hardware. Measure and route the orange cable along trays or conduits, avoiding sharp bends and proximity to heavy electrical equipment. Terminate at both ends with connectors and jacks rated for Cat7 or compatible keystone modules, taking care to maintain shielding continuity and correct pair alignment. Test the installed runs with a suitable network cable tester to verify performance and identify any faults before commissioning.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, maintain bend radii recommended by the manufacturer, preserve shielding continuity when terminating, and avoid running the cable parallel to power lines. Use appropriate Cat7-compatible connectors and testing tools to confirm bandwidth and signal integrity after installation.
