Netwerkkabel ShiverPeaks BS75500-A+-500S

The ShiverPeaks BS75500-A+-500S is a 500m Cat7a+ networking cable with S/FTP shielding designed for high-speed data transmission in structured cabling installations. Its yellow jacket improves visibility and identification in cable runs while the Cat7a+ specification and screened foil over each pair plus an overall braid reduce crosstalk and external electromagnetic interference. The cable is suitable for demanding Ethernet environments where controlled signal integrity and bandwidth are required.

Advantages

This Cat7a+ S/FTP cable provides enhanced protection against near-end crosstalk and external noise thanks to individually screened pairs and an overall braided shield. The 500m length supports long runs without frequent splicing, and the distinct yellow sheath simplifies routing and maintenance in racks and cable trays. The cable construction supports high-frequency signals and is intended to maintain consistent performance across longer distances compared with lower-category cables.

Suitable for

• Backbone and horizontal cabling in data centers and server rooms
• High-bandwidth Ethernet networks and Gigabit/10 Gigabit deployments
• Office cabling where interference mitigation is required
• Structured cabling projects requiring long continuous cable runs

Key specifications

• Cable category: Cat7a+
• Shielding: S/FTP (screened foil around each pair plus overall braided shield)
• Length: 500 m
• Jacket color: Yellow
• Conductor type: Copper (solid or stranded depending on installer preference)
• Suitable frequency range: for high-frequency Ethernet applications

How to use

Install the cable following standard structured cabling practices: route through cable trays or conduits, avoid tight bends and excessive pulling tension, and maintain separation from high-power electrical lines to reduce interference. Terminate the cable with compatible RJ45 or shielded connectors and ensure proper grounding of the braid and connector shields to preserve the S/FTP performance. When pulling long runs, use appropriate lubricant and a pull tape if needed to prevent jacket damage.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, use this Cat7a+ S/FTP cable with shielded connectors and patch panels, and ensure proper grounding of all shield terminations. Test each run with a suitable cable tester to verify continuity, pairing, and shielding effectiveness before commissioning the network.
