Netwerkkabel ShiverPeaks BS75515-R-SET5 rood 5m Cat7 S/FTP

The ShiverPeaks BS75515-R-SET5 Red 5m Cat7 S/FTP networking cable is a shielded Ethernet cable designed for high-speed wired connections over short to medium distances. Built to Cat7 specification with S/FTP (screened foil-twisted pair) shielding and gold-plated RJ-45 plugs, the cable aims to reduce electromagnetic interference and maintain stable data transmission. The 5-meter length and distinctive red jacket make it suitable for visible routing in home or office network setups where clarity and accessibility are required.

Advantages

S/FTP shielding around each pair and overall screening reduces crosstalk and external interference, supporting reliable performance in environments with multiple cables or electronic equipment. Gold-plated RJ-45 connectors improve contact quality and resist corrosion, contributing to longer connector life and steady signal transfer. The Cat7 specification supports higher frequency performance compared with earlier categories, enabling compatibility with gigabit and multi-gigabit networks. The colored jacket provides an easy visual identifier for network organization.

Suitable for

• Structured home and small office wired networks
• Connections between switches, routers, and networked devices
• High-bandwidth applications such as streaming, large file transfers, and online gaming
• Environments where reduced electromagnetic interference is required

Key specifications

• Cable category: Cat7
• Shielding: S/FTP (overall screen + foil per pair)
• Length: 5 meters
• Connector type: RJ-45, gold-plated contacts
• Jacket color: Red

How to use

Plug one gold-plated RJ-45 connector into the Ethernet port of your network device (router, switch, PC, or console) and the other connector into the corresponding port on the destination device. Ensure connectors click into place to confirm secure contact. Route the cable to avoid sharp bends and keep it away from high-power AC cables where possible to minimize residual interference. For optimal performance, use the cable within the specified 5 m length and replace if the jacket or connectors show physical damage.

Recommendations

Use this Cat7 S/FTP cable for critical wired links where interference reduction and stable high-speed transfer are priorities. Label visible red runs in patch bays or under desks to simplify maintenance and troubleshooting. When deploying in dense cable bundles, maintain proper bend radius and avoid kinking to preserve shielding integrity.
