Netwerkkabel ShiverPeaks BS75525-SLM 15m Cat7 U/FTP

The ShiverPeaks BS75525-SLM 15m Cat7 U/FTP networking cable is engineered for high-performance wired connections in home, office, or data center environments. It complies with Category 7 cable characteristics and uses U/FTP shielding (overall braid with individually foil-shielded pairs) to reduce electromagnetic interference and crosstalk. The cable terminates in RJ-45 plugs with gold-plated contacts to improve conductivity and resist corrosion. Its 15-metre length provides extended reach between network equipment while the magenta jacket offers a distinctive visual identifier for cable management.

Advantages

U/FTP shielding provides improved protection against external noise and pair-to-pair interference compared with unshielded alternatives, helping maintain signal integrity at higher frequencies. Gold-plated RJ-45 contacts enhance contact reliability and longevity. The 15m length balances reach and signal preservation for mid-range runs, and the vivid magenta jacket makes tracing and segregating runs simple during installation and maintenance.

Suitable for

• High-speed Ethernet links (10/40/1000 Mbps and higher where supported)
• Server-to-switch and switch-to-switch patching in racks and cabinets
• Home networking where minimal interference is required for streaming and gaming
• Environments with multiple nearby cables or electronic equipment where shielding is beneficial

Key specifications

• Category: Cat7 performance characteristics
• Length: 15 metres
• Shielding: U/FTP (overall braid with individually foil-shielded pairs)
• Connector type: RJ-45 plugs
• Contact finish: Gold-plated contacts for improved conductivity and corrosion resistance
• Jacket colour: Magenta

How to use

Connect one RJ-45 end to the network device (router, switch, network card) and the other end to the corresponding port on the remote device. Ensure connectors click fully into place to establish a secure link. For best results, avoid tight bends and kinks in the cable and keep the run clear of large power cables or strong electromagnetic sources. When routing through cable trays or conduits, maintain bend radius recommendations typical for ethernet cabling to prevent signal degradation.

Recommendations

For reliable long-term performance, use this Cat7 U/FTP cable in shielded or grounded installations where possible; terminate and connect to shielded equipment or patch panels to preserve shielding benefits. Periodically inspect connectors for signs of wear and replace if contact resistance increases.
