Netwerkkabel ShiverPeaks BS75711-0.25Y

The ShiverPeaks BS75711-0.25Y is a 0.25 m networking cable designed for short-reach connections where Cat6/6e/6a performance is required. The cable uses S/FTP shielding to reduce electromagnetic interference and maintain signal integrity in environments with multiple adjacent cables and electronic devices. Both ends terminate in RJ-45 plugs with gold-plated contacts to support reliable mating and consistent data transfer at high throughput.

Advantages

S/FTP shielding provides improved protection against crosstalk and external noise compared with unshielded assemblies, which helps sustain stable Gigabit and higher-speed links. The compact 0.25 m length minimises excess cable clutter in patch panels, switches, or tight rack spaces. Gold-plated contacts on the RJ-45 connectors enhance corrosion resistance and ensure a dependable electrical connection over repeated insertions.

Suitable for

• Short patch connections between adjacent network ports (switch-to-switch, switch-to-device)
• High-density rack and patch panel installations where cable management is critical
• Workstations, VoIP phones, and network appliances requiring Cat6/6e/6a capability
• Environments with increased electromagnetic interference where shielded cabling is preferred

Key specifications

• Cable standard: supports Cat6 / Cat6e / Cat6a performance levels
• Length: 0.25 m
• Shielding: S/FTP (overall foil shield with individually shielded twisted pairs)
• Connectors: RJ-45 on both ends
• Contact plating: gold-plated contacts
• Color: yellow

How to use

Connect each RJ-45 plug to the corresponding network port, ensuring the latch clicks into place to secure the connection. Use this 0.25 m cable for direct patching in racks, linking adjacent ports on switches, or for tidy connections behind equipment where longer cables would create clutter. Verify link lights on the connected devices to confirm successful negotiation of speed and duplex settings.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, avoid tight bends and excessive strain on the cable and connectors. When used in shielded environments, ensure that connected equipment provides appropriate grounding to make full use of the S/FTP shielding. Choose this short-length cable when minimal slack and tidy cable management are priorities.
