Netwerkkabel ShiverPeaks BS75711-H-SET5 1 m Cat6 S/FTP grijs

The ShiverPeaks BS75711-H-SET5 1m Cat6 S/FTP Grey is a short patch cable engineered for local network connections requiring Cat6 performance. The cable features S/FTP shielding—an overall braid plus individually foil-shielded pairs—to reduce electromagnetic interference and maintain consistent signal integrity. Both ends use standard RJ-45 connectors with copper-plated contacts to support high-speed data transmission over a one metre length, making it suitable for rack, desktop and patch-panel connections where a compact, reliable link is needed.

Advantages

S/FTP construction improves protection against crosstalk and external noise compared with unshielded alternatives, helping to preserve throughput and reduce packet errors. The RJ-45 terminations with copper-plated contacts provide stable contact resistance and compatibility with typical network equipment. The one-metre length limits excess cable clutter while offering enough reach for patching between nearby ports. A neutral grey jacket allows discreet installation in office and server-room environments.

Suitable for

• Short-distance patching between switches, patch panels and wall outlets
• Desktop connections for workstations, printers and IP phones
• Server rack and cabinet internal patching where Cat6 performance is required
• Environments with moderate electromagnetic interference where shielded cable is preferred

Key specifications

• Cable category: Cat6 (meets Cat6 performance for structured cabling)
• Shielding: S/FTP — overall braided shield plus individually foil-shielded twisted pairs
• Length: 1 metre
• Connectors: RJ-45 on both ends
• Contact plating: copper-plated contacts for reliable signal transmission
• Jacket colour: grey
• Typical applications: Gigabit Ethernet and structured network patching

How to use

Connect one RJ-45 plug to the network port of your device and the other plug to the corresponding switch, patch panel or wall outlet. Ensure connectors are fully inserted until the latch clicks to guarantee a secure electrical connection. Keep the cable routed away from high-voltage mains runs where possible and avoid tight bends or kinks to maintain signal performance. For shielded installations, verify that connected network equipment and outlets support cable shielding and that grounding is implemented according to your site practices.

Recommendations

Use this 1m Cat6 S/FTP cable for short, visible patching inside racks or on desktops where a shielded cable improves noise immunity. Inspect connectors periodically for damage and replace any cable showing worn contacts or compromised shielding. When integrating into shielded structured cabling, follow grounding guidelines to realize the full benefit of S/FTP construction.
