Netwerkkabel ShiverPeaks BS75712-HR rood 2m Cat6 S/FTP

The ShiverPeaks BS75712-HR Red 2m Cat6 S/FTP is a 2-meter network patch cable designed for reliable Ethernet connections in home, office, and data center environments. Built to Cat6 specification with S/FTP shielding and gold-plated RJ-45 connectors, this cable provides stable signal transmission and reduced electromagnetic interference. The red jacket offers clear visual identification within cabling runs and patch panels.

Advantages

Cat6 performance ensures support for Gigabit Ethernet and improved bandwidth compared with lower-category cables. The S/FTP construction combines a foil shield around each pair with an overall braided shield to minimize crosstalk and external interference. Gold-plated RJ-45 contacts enhance conductivity and resist corrosion, while the 2 m length is suitable for connecting devices across short to medium distances without excess cable slack.

Suitable for

• Connecting desktop PCs, switches and routers within offices and home networks
• Patch panel to switch links in server rooms and small data closets
• High-speed network segments requiring reduced interference and stable throughput
• Color-coded cabling installations for easy identification and maintenance

Key specifications

• Category: Cat6
• Shielding: S/FTP (foil around each pair + overall braided shield)
• Connector type: RJ-45 with gold-plated contacts
• Length: 2 meters
• Color: Red
• Suitable for: Gigabit Ethernet (1000BASE-T)

How to use

Plug one RJ-45 connector into the network port of your device (computer, switch, router or patch panel) and the other connector into the corresponding port on the network equipment. Ensure connectors are fully inserted until the latch clicks to secure the connection. Route the cable avoiding tight bends and sharp edges to maintain the cable's electrical characteristics. For permanent installations, use appropriate cable management such as cable ties and trays to prevent strain on the connectors.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, use this Cat6 S/FTP cable for Gigabit Ethernet links up to its rated length and avoid running it in parallel with high-voltage power lines. When mixing multiple colors for a structured cabling scheme, use the red cable as a marker for critical or uplink connections to simplify troubleshooting and maintenance.
