Netwerkkabel ShiverPeaks BS75713-HR rood 3 m Cat6 S/FTP

The ShiverPeaks BS75713-HR Red 3m Cat6 S/FTP is a 3-meter Ethernet patch cable designed for structured cabling and point-to-point network connections. It uses Category 6 wiring and S/FTP (shielded with individually foil-wrapped pairs plus overall braid) construction to reduce crosstalk and external electromagnetic interference. The cable is terminated with RJ-45 plugs that feature gold-plated contacts to maintain reliable signal transmission and resist corrosion. The red jacket provides clear visual identification in patch panels, racks, and desktop setups.

Advantages

The S/FTP shielding improves signal integrity in electrically noisy environments and supports higher data rates over short runs compared with lower-category or unshielded cables. Gold-plated contacts on the RJ-45 connectors enhance contact reliability and lower contact resistance for consistent throughput. The 3 m length balances reach and cable management for typical workstation-to-switch connections while the colored jacket aids quick identification and troubleshooting.

Suitable for

• Connecting desktops, laptops, and network devices to switches or routers
• Patch panel and rack installations where visual cable identification is useful
• Environments with potential electromagnetic interference such as office floors with many electronic devices
• Home networks requiring a reliable Cat6 link for multimedia streaming and gaming

Key specifications

• Cable category: Cat6
• Shielding: S/FTP (overall braid + foil around each pair)
• Connector type: RJ-45
• Contact plating: Gold-plated contacts
• Length: 3 meters
• Color: Red jacket
• Conductor arrangement: 4 twisted pairs

How to use

Plug one RJ-45 end into the Ethernet port of your network device (computer, switch, router or patch panel) and the other end into the corresponding port on the opposite device. Ensure connectors are fully seated until the latch clicks. Route the cable to avoid sharp bends, kinks or tight staples, and avoid running parallel to power cables for extended distances to minimize interference. For permanent installations, use appropriate cable management accessories such as cable ties and patch panels to maintain bend radius and strain relief.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, use this Cat6 S/FTP cable for short to medium runs up to 3 m within a single rack or between nearby devices. Verify that connected devices support the desired network speed and that patching follows proper shielding grounding practices in shielded installations. Store and handle the cable to prevent damage to connectors and shielding.
