Netwerkkabel ShiverPeaks BS75715-AB blauw 5 m Cat6a S/FTP

The ShiverPeaks BS75715-AB Blue 5m Cat6a S/FTP networking cable is a 5‑metre patch lead designed for high‑speed wired connections. It conforms to Category 6a performance, uses S/FTP shielding (overall braid plus individually shielded pairs) and is terminated with RJ‑45 connectors on both ends. The cable's construction reduces electromagnetic and crosstalk interference to support reliable data transmission for demanding network environments.

Advantages

This Cat6a S/FTP cable provides enhanced signal integrity and lower error rates through combined overall and pair shielding. Its 5 m length balances reach and neat cable management for racks, workstations or home office setups. The RJ‑45 terminations ensure compatibility with common networking equipment, while the blue jacket allows easy visual identification within cabling infrastructure.

Suitable for (tasks / use cases)

• Connecting desktop computers, switches and routers in office and home networks
• High‑speed Ethernet links up to 10 Gbps in short runs
• Environments with moderate electromagnetic interference where S/FTP shielding is beneficial
• Patch panels, server cabinets and structured cabling installations requiring Cat6a performance

Key specifications

• Category: Cat6a performance class suitable for 10GBASE‑T over short distances
• Shielding: S/FTP — overall braided shield with individually shielded twisted pairs
• Connector type: RJ‑45 on both ends
• Length: 5 metres
• Jacket colour: Blue for easy identification
• Cable use: Patch lead for horizontal and equipment connections

How to use

Connect one RJ‑45 connector to the network port of your device (computer, switch, router or patch panel) and the other to the corresponding port on the network equipment. Avoid tight bends and kinks in the cable and maintain the minimum bend radius recommended for Cat6a cabling to preserve shielding and performance. Route the cable separately from strong power sources where possible to further reduce potential interference.

Recommendations

Use this Cat6a S/FTP cable for short to medium patch runs where 10 Gbps performance and reduced interference are required. Inspect connectors for secure seating and replace the cable if jacket damage or connector deformation is visible. For permanent structured cabling, consider professional installation practices to maintain certification and optimal performance.
