Netwerkkabel ShiverPeaks BS75715-HY 5m Cat6 S/FTP geel

The ShiverPeaks BS75715-HY 5m Cat6 S/FTP Yellow networking cable provides a shielded, high-performance connection for Ethernet devices. Engineered to meet Cat6 requirements, the cable features S/FTP shielding that combines an overall braid with individually foil-shielded pairs to reduce electromagnetic interference and maintain signal integrity across a 5-meter reach. Fitted with RJ-45 connectors with gold-plated contacts, the cable supports reliable contact conductivity and corrosion resistance while the yellow jacket improves visibility and cable management in crowded installations.

Advantages

The S/FTP construction minimizes crosstalk and external interference, delivering more stable throughput compared with unshielded cables in electrically noisy environments. Gold-plated RJ-45 connectors ensure consistent contact resistance and long-term durability. The 5-meter length offers flexibility for typical home and office setups without excess slack, and the bright yellow sheath makes identification and routing straightforward during installation and maintenance.

Suitable for

• Connecting desktop PCs, switches, routers and networked printers within offices or home networks
• Patch panel to switch links in small server rooms or network closets
• Environments with increased electromagnetic interference where shielded cables are preferred
• Temporary event networks or structured cabling where visible cable color aids management

Key specifications

• Cable category: Cat6
• Shielding: S/FTP (overall braid + individually foiled pairs)
• Length: 5 meters
• Connector type: RJ-45 to RJ-45
• Contact plating: gold-plated contacts
• Jacket color: yellow
• Suitable for Ethernet speeds up to Gigabit Ethernet (1000BASE-T) and supporting frequencies typical for Cat6

How to use

Connect one RJ-45 end to the Ethernet port of your device (PC, switch, router or modem) and the other end to the corresponding network port. Ensure connectors are fully inserted until the latch clicks to establish a secure connection. Route the cable to avoid sharp bends, excessive stretching, or compression under furniture and secure it using cable clips or ties where appropriate. For installations using shielded connectors or panels, maintain proper grounding practices to preserve the effectiveness of the S/FTP shielding.

Recommendations

Use the cable for short runs up to 5 meters inside buildings; avoid outdoor exposure or direct contact with moisture. For installations in high-interference areas, pair the cable with shielded connectors and ensure system grounding. For neat cable management, label each end and use the yellow color to quickly identify this link among other connections.
