Netwerkkabel ShiverPeaks BS75717-HW 7,5 m Cat6 S/FTP

The ShiverPeaks BS75717-HW 7.5m Cat6 S/FTP networking cable is designed for reliable wired connections in home and office networks. This 7.5-metre cable conforms to Cat6 performance class and uses S/FTP (shielded Foil over Twisted Pair) construction to reduce electromagnetic interference and crosstalk. Equipped with RJ-45 connectors with gold-plated contacts, the cable provides stable data transmission for Ethernet devices while presenting a discreet white jacket that blends into most interiors.

Advantages

S/FTP shielding improves signal integrity by combining an overall braid with individual pair foil shields, which helps suppress external interference and pair-to-pair crosstalk. Gold-plated RJ-45 contacts offer better corrosion resistance and consistent contact quality. The 7.5 m length provides flexibility for routing between network equipment without requiring additional joins or patch panels. The white outer jacket offers a neutral appearance suitable for residential and professional environments.

Suitable for

• Connecting PCs, laptops and network printers to a router or switch
• Wiring desktop workstations and VoIP phones in offices
• Home network connections for streaming devices, smart TVs and game consoles
• Short-run patching in server racks or structured cabling installations

Key specifications

• Cable category: Cat6
• Shielding: S/FTP (overall braid + foil around each twisted pair)
• Length: 7.5 metres
• Connector type: RJ-45 to RJ-45
• Contacts: gold-plated contacts for improved corrosion resistance
• Jacket colour: white

How to use

Plug one RJ-45 connector into the Ethernet port of your router, switch or modem and the other into your device’s Ethernet port. Ensure connectors are fully inserted until the latch clicks to establish a secure connection. Route the cable to avoid sharp bends and tight kinks; maintain gentle curves and keep the cable away from sources of strong electromagnetic interference such as large power transformers or unshielded power cables for optimal performance.

Recommendations

For best results, use this Cat6 S/FTP cable for connections up to typical gigabit Ethernet distances. In installations where multiple shielded cables are used, ensure proper grounding of patch panels and shielding terminations to maintain the effectiveness of the S/FTP construction.
