Netwerkkabel ShiverPeaks BS75720-AW 10m Cat6a S/FTP

The ShiverPeaks BS75720-AW 10m Cat6a S/FTP networking cable is a fully shielded Ethernet cable designed for stable high-speed data transmission over a 10-meter run. With Cat6a performance and S/FTP shielding, the cable reduces electromagnetic interference and crosstalk, supporting bandwidth-intensive tasks. The cable is terminated with RJ-45 connectors on both ends, providing plug-and-play compatibility with routers, switches, network cards and wall outlets commonly used in homes and offices.

Advantages

S/FTP construction combines an overall foil shield and individually shielded twisted pairs to provide enhanced protection against external noise and pair-to-pair interference. Cat6a specification ensures support for greater bandwidth and higher frequencies compared with earlier categories, enabling more reliable 10 Gigabit connections at shorter to moderate distances. The 10 meter length offers flexibility in typical room and small office layouts while maintaining signal integrity via quality connectors and shielding.

Suitable for

• High-speed wired connections for desktop computers and workstations
• Connecting switches, routers and patch panels in small office or home network setups
• Gaming consoles and media players requiring low-latency, high-bandwidth links
• Streaming 4K/8K video and large file transfers between local devices

Key specifications

• Category: Cat6a
• Shielding: S/FTP (overall foil shield with individually shielded pairs)
• Length: 10 meters
• Connector type: RJ-45 on both ends
• Supported speeds: up to 10 Gbps at appropriate distances
• Conductor type: twisted pair copper conductors
• Suitable frequency range: up to 500 MHz

How to use

Connect one RJ-45 end to your network device (router, switch, network card) and the other end to the destination device or port. Ensure connectors are fully inserted until they click to establish a secure mechanical and electrical connection. Route the cable to avoid tight bends and compression; maintain bend radius recommended for twisted pair cables and keep the cable away from strong sources of electromagnetic interference where possible. For installations through walls or conduits, verify that the cable meets local fire and building-code requirements.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, avoid running the cable in parallel with power lines and keep cable runs within standards for Cat6a to maintain 10 Gbps throughput. Use appropriate cable management (clips, ties, or trays) to prevent strain on connectors and to preserve shielding integrity.
