Netwerkkabel ShiverPeaks BS75725-A 15m Cat6a S/FTP

The ShiverPeaks BS75725-A 15m Cat6a S/FTP networking cable delivers a long, shielded connection for high-speed data transmission between devices. Constructed to Cat6a specification with S/FTP shielding and fitted with RJ-45 connectors on both ends, this 15-metre grey cable is intended to provide reliable performance with reduced electromagnetic interference in home and office networks.

Advantages

S/FTP shielding combines an overall foil shield with individually shielded pairs to minimise crosstalk and external interference, improving signal integrity over longer runs. The Cat6a standard supports higher bandwidth and better performance for demanding network applications compared with previous categories. A 15-metre length balances reach and flexibility without the need for additional couplers, and factory-terminated RJ-45 plugs ensure a ready-to-use connection.

Suitable for

• Connecting desktop computers, switches, routers and patch panels in home or small office environments
• High-definition video streaming and online gaming that require stable bandwidth
• Power over Ethernet (PoE) devices where Cat6a performance and shielding help maintain signal quality
• Structured cabling runs where reduced electromagnetic interference is important

Key specifications

• Length: 15 metres
• Cable category: Cat6a (augmented performance for 10 Gigabit Ethernet)
• Shielding: S/FTP (overall foil plus individually shielded twisted pairs)
• Connectors: RJ-45 on both ends
• Color: Grey
• Typical applications: 10/100/1000 Mbps and 10 Gbps Ethernet over specified distances

How to use

Route the cable between the network devices avoiding sharp bends and tight kinks. Insert each RJ-45 plug firmly into the corresponding Ethernet port until it clicks. For best performance, keep the cable away from sources of strong electromagnetic interference such as large motors, fluorescent lighting ballasts or unshielded power cables. When planning permanent installations, allow for service loops and avoid running the cable parallel to mains wiring for extended distances.

Recommendations

Use the cable in environments that benefit from enhanced shielding and Cat6a performance. For runs longer than the recommended Ethernet distances for 10 Gbps, consider using active network equipment or fibre optics. Inspect connectors periodically for damage and replace the cable if the jacket or plugs show visible wear.
