Netwerkkabel ShiverPeaks BS75730-AB 30m Cat6a S/FTP

The ShiverPeaks BS75730-AB 30m Cat6a S/FTP networking cable is a shielded Ethernet cable designed for high-speed wired network connections. This 30-metre blue cable uses Cat6a specification and S/FTP (shielded foil with individually shielded pairs) construction to reduce electromagnetic interference and crosstalk, providing consistent data transmission for gigabit and 10 Gigabit Ethernet applications. Both ends are fitted with standard RJ-45 connectors for straightforward plug-and-play installation with routers, switches, patch panels and network devices.

Advantages

The S/FTP shielding improves signal integrity in environments with multiple cables or sources of electromagnetic noise, delivering lower error rates and more stable throughput compared with unshielded cables. Cat6a performance supports higher bandwidth and extended frequency response, making the cable suitable for demanding network tasks. The 30 m length offers flexibility for home, office or server-room layouts while the durable outer jacket and molded connector boots provide strain relief and long-term mechanical reliability.

Suitable for

• Wired connections between routers, switches and computers in home or office networks
• Connecting network equipment in server rooms, data closets or structured cabling installations
• High-bandwidth applications such as 10 Gigabit Ethernet, video streaming and large file transfers
• Environments where electromagnetic interference or crosstalk may affect unshielded cabling

Key specifications

• Category: Cat6a, supports up to 10 Gigabit Ethernet
• Shielding: S/FTP – overall foil with individually shielded twisted pairs
• Length: 30 metres
• Connector type: RJ-45 connectors on both ends
• Color: Blue
• Typical use: Horizontal and patch cabling for network devices

How to use

Insert the RJ-45 connector into the Ethernet port of your device until it clicks. Route the cable to avoid sharp bends and maintain the minimum bend radius to preserve performance. When connecting through patch panels or keystone jacks, ensure proper seating of the connector and avoid compressing the shielding. For structured cabling, label each end to match network ports and test the link with appropriate cable testers to verify continuity and performance.

Recommendations

For best results, use this Cat6a S/FTP cable in installations where reduced interference is required. Keep the cable away from sources of high electrical noise such as power transformers and fluorescent lighting. If running the cable near power lines, consider additional separation or conduit. Verify compatibility with your network hardware to ensure 10 Gigabit operation and perform periodic checks for physical damage or connector wear.
