Netwerkkabel ShiverPeaks Cat. 6 0,5 m

The ShiverPeaks Cat. 6 0.5m networking cable offers a compact, reliable connection for short-distance data links. With U/UTP shielding and Cat 6 performance specifications, this 0.5 meter cable is designed for high-speed Ethernet connections in home, office, or equipment-rack environments. The cable is equipped with RJ-45 connectors featuring gold-plated contacts to improve conductivity and resist corrosion. Its black outer jacket provides a discreet appearance that integrates easily into existing cabling setups.

Advantages

The U/UTP construction reduces external electromagnetic interference while maintaining flexibility for tight routing. Gold-plated RJ-45 contacts enhance signal transfer and reduce wear over repeated insertions. At 0.5 m length the cable minimizes excess slack and clutter, which is useful for tidy installations and short patch connections. Cat 6 performance supports reliable gigabit and near-gigabit networking at typical cable lengths used for patching and device interconnects.

Suitable for

• Short patch connections between network devices in racks or desks
• Connecting PCs, switches, routers and networked AV devices over short distances
• Tidy cable management in constrained spaces such as patch panels or wall-mounted equipment

Key specifications

• Cable category: Cat 6
• Length: 0.5 m
• Shielding: U/UTP (unshielded twisted pair with overall shielding characteristic)
• Connector type: RJ-45
• Contact plating: Gold-plated contacts
• Color: Black

How to use

Plug each RJ-45 connector firmly into the corresponding Ethernet ports on your devices until the latch clicks. Ensure cable routing avoids sharp bends and excessive strain on connectors; maintain a bend radius appropriate for structured cabling to preserve signal integrity. Use the 0.5 m length for short interconnects such as device-to-switch connections or to link equipment within the same rack or workstation area.

Recommendations

For best results, use this cable for short-distance connections inside cabinets or desks; avoid running it alongside high-voltage power lines to minimize interference. Inspect connectors before use and replace if contacts appear damaged or bent.
