Netwerkkabel ShiverPeaks Cat.6 S/FTP 0,25 m

The ShiverPeaks Cat.6 S/FTP 0.25m networking cable is designed for reliable high-speed data transmission in short-distance connections. This 0.25 meter cable implements S/FTP (shielded foil twisted pair with overall braid) construction to reduce electromagnetic interference and crosstalk, and is fitted with RJ-45 connectors plated in gold to improve contact quality and corrosion resistance. The compact length and black jacket make it suitable for neat patching between devices in home and office network setups.

Advantages

S/FTP shielding provides improved protection against external electromagnetic interference and pair-to-pair crosstalk compared with unshielded cables. Gold-plated RJ-45 connectors ensure stable electrical contact and reduce the risk of oxidation over time. The Cat.6 performance supports Gigabit Ethernet and provides headroom for higher-frequency signaling in short links. The short 0.25 m length minimizes cable clutter and signal attenuation for direct device-to-device connections.

Key specifications

• Cable category: Cat.6
• Shielding: S/FTP (foil on each pair + overall braid)
• Length: 0.25 m
• Connectors: RJ-45 with gold plating
• Color: black
• Typical use: patch cable for short links supporting Gigabit Ethernet

How to use

Connect one RJ-45 connector to the network port of the source device and the other to the target device. Ensure both devices are powered off or that ports support hot-plugging according to device specifications. Route the cable to avoid sharp bends and excessive pulling force; maintain gentle loops and avoid running the cable parallel to strong sources of interference for extended distances. Verify link status indicators on connected devices to confirm an established connection and negotiate appropriate speed.

Recommendations

Use this short Cat.6 S/FTP cable for direct patching between nearby devices where a compact, shielded connection is required. For installations requiring longer runs or outdoor use, select appropriately rated cables and maintain correct grounding for shielded systems.
