Netwerkkabel ShiverPeaks Cat.6 S/FTP 7,5 m

The ShiverPeaks Cat.6 S/FTP 7.5m networking cable is a 7.5-metre, shielded Ethernet cable designed for reliable high-speed data transmission. The cable uses S/FTP (shielded with foil around each pair and an overall braid) construction to reduce electromagnetic interference and maintain signal integrity over longer runs. Fitted with RJ-45 connectors plated in gold, the cable provides consistent contact and corrosion resistance. Its black outer jacket makes it suitable for visible and concealed installations in home and office environments.

Advantages

S/FTP shielding reduces crosstalk and external electromagnetic interference, supporting stable network performance in environments with multiple electronic devices. Cat.6 specification enables higher bandwidth and better signal-to-noise ratio compared with lower-category cables, making it suitable for Gigabit Ethernet and many modern applications. Gold-plated RJ-45 connectors offer improved conductivity and durability for repeated plug cycles. The 7.5 m length balances flexibility for placement without excessive slack.

Suitable for

• Gigabit Ethernet connections between routers, switches and devices
• Wired home networks for streaming, gaming and remote work
• Office network segments and desktop workstation connections
• Environments requiring reduced interference such as near power lines or dense cabling

Key specifications

• Category: Cat.6
• Shielding: S/FTP (foil on pairs + overall braid)
• Length: 7.5 m
• Connector type: RJ-45
• Connector plating: Gold-plated contacts
• Outer jacket colour: Black

How to use

Connect one RJ-45 plug to your network source (router, switch or modem) and the other end to the target device such as a PC, NAS or networked printer. Ensure connectors are fully inserted until the clip locks to secure the connection. Route the cable to avoid sharp bends and heavy compression; maintain bend radii consistent with typical Ethernet cable handling to preserve performance. If running the cable alongside power lines, keep a separation distance to further minimise interference despite the cable's shielding.

Recommendations

For best results in high-density or electrically noisy environments, pair the S/FTP cable with shielded network equipment and grounded patch panels where possible. Periodically inspect connectors for debris and ensure contacts are clean to maintain reliable connectivity.
