Netwerkkabel ShiverPeaks Cat 6 S/FTP PIMF 08-64051 — twisted-pair Ethernet-kabel, 4-paars, litze/massieve geleider niet gespecificeerd

ShiverPeaks Network Cable Cat 6 S/FTP PIMF is a category 6 twisted-pair Ethernet cable engineered for structured cabling and high-speed LAN environments. The design combines individual pair metal foil shielding with an overall braided screen to limit crosstalk and electromagnetic interference, supporting reliable signal transmission across copper pairs. The cable is suitable for installations where Cat 6 performance and improved noise immunity are required.

Advantages

The S/FTP PIMF construction provides both per-pair shielding and an overall braid, reducing near-end crosstalk and external EMI without relying on active equipment adjustments. This design supports stable gigabit Ethernet links and helps maintain signal integrity over longer runs compared with unshielded variants. The cable’s build is compatible with standard Cat 6 terminations and structured cabling components used in data centers and professional networks.

Suitable for

• Gigabit Ethernet and 1 Gbps LAN connections
• Office structured cabling and horizontal cabling runs
• Data center patching and rack-to-rack links
• Industrial environments with increased electromagnetic interference

Key specifications

• Category: Cat 6 twisted-pair cable
• Shielding: S/FTP (overall braid plus pair-in-metal-foil)
• Conductor: 4 twisted pairs (stranded/solid unspecified)
• Impedance: 100 ohm (typical for Cat 6 cabling)
• Application: LAN, structured cabling, patching

How to use

Terminate the cable using appropriate Cat 6 compatible connectors and shielding-aware terminations; ensure the braid and foil are correctly bonded to the connector ground to preserve the shielding effectiveness. Route and secure the cable following standard installation practices for structured cabling: avoid tight bends, maintain separation from high-voltage electrical wiring, and use suitable cable management in racks and trays. Verify continuity and performance with a cable tester capable of Cat 6 diagnostics after installation.

Recommendations

For best performance, use this S/FTP PIMF cable in shielded or grounded installation environments and pair it with shielded connectors and patch panels. Regularly test installed runs for return loss and crosstalk to confirm compliance with Cat 6 performance targets.
