Netwerkkabel ShiverPeaks Cat 7 S/FTP 10Gbps (model 08-83035007)

ShiverPeaks Cat 7 S/FTP 10Gbps network cable (model 08-83035007) is designed for high-performance wired LAN environments requiring stable 10 Gbps throughput over short to medium distances. The cable uses screened foil-twisted pair (S/FTP) construction with individual pair foil shielding and an overall braid, delivering reduced electromagnetic interference (EMI) and minimal crosstalk. With a bandwidth rating up to 600 MHz and duplex conductor layout, this Cat 7 cable is suitable for structured cabling installations, server rooms, NAS connections and demanding home networks where consistent data transfer and signal integrity are important.

Advantages

The S/FTP design combines individual pair foil shields with an overall screen to provide enhanced protection against external noise and internal pair-to-pair interference, improving signal stability and reducing error rates at high speeds. The cable supports up to 10 Gbps data transfer and a high frequency range that makes it suitable for modern Ethernet applications. Its robust construction and impedance control help maintain connection quality in patch panels, wall outlets and direct device connections.

Suitable for

• 10 Gigabit Ethernet links in LAN and data center patching
• Server-to-switch and NAS connections requiring reliable throughput
• Structured horizontal cabling in offices and professional installations
• High-density home networks with multiple media devices and streaming

Key specifications

• Category: Cat 7
• Shielding: S/FTP (individually foil-shielded pairs with overall braid)
• Maximum data rate: 10 Gbps
• Nominal bandwidth: up to 600 MHz
• Conductor layout: duplex (four twisted pairs)
• Typical use: LAN, server, NAS, structured cabling

How to use

Use this Cat 7 S/FTP cable for permanent link installations or patching between switches, routers, servers and NAS devices. Terminate the cable on compatible Cat 7 keystone jacks, shielded RJ45 connectors or modules and ensure the shield is properly grounded at one point to preserve the effectiveness of the overall braid. Keep cable runs within recommended lengths for 10 Gbps performance and avoid tight bends or mechanical stress to maintain impedance control and signal integrity.

Recommendations

For best results, pair the cable with shielded connectors and grounded patch panels, maintain separation from strong electrical sources to reduce EMI, and adhere to installation bend radii. Verify link speed and perform certification or continuity testing after installation to confirm 10 Gbps connectivity and low attenuation.
