Netwerkkabel ShiverPeaks Cat6 S/FTP 0,25 m

The ShiverPeaks Cat6 S/FTP 0.25m networking cable is a short patch lead designed for high-speed data transfer in compact setups. With S/FTP (shielded foil paired with an overall braid) construction and gold-plated RJ-45 connectors, the cable provides improved signal integrity and reduced electromagnetic interference in congested cabling environments. Its 0.25 meter length is suitable for close-proximity connections between devices, patch panels, and network switches where minimal slack is required.

Advantages

The S/FTP shielding design reduces crosstalk and external interference, supporting stable Gigabit and higher-speed Ethernet links. Gold-plated RJ-45 contacts enhance conductivity and help maintain consistent performance over frequent insertions. The short 0.25 m length minimizes cable clutter and latency from excessive cable runs while ensuring reliable physical connection between network equipment in tight spaces.

Suitable for

• Connecting a switch to a patch panel in a server rack with minimal distance
• Linking adjacent network devices in telecommunications cabinets
• Short runs between desktop equipment and wall outlets in home or office setups
• High-density cabling scenarios where space and cable management are priorities

Key specifications

• Cable category: Cat6
• Shielding: S/FTP (shielded foil per pair with overall braided shield)
• Length: 0.25 m
• Connector type: RJ-45
• Contact finish: Gold-plated contacts for improved conductivity
• Supports: Gigabit Ethernet and applications requiring reduced interference

How to use

Plug one RJ-45 connector into the network port of the source device and the other into the destination port, ensuring a firm click to confirm proper seating. Use the cable for short patching runs where a compact connection is needed; avoid excessive bending near the connector boots and maintain gentle curves to preserve shielding and conductor integrity. Inspect connectors for debris before insertion and route the cable to prevent sharp kinks or pinching.

Recommendations

For best performance, use this 0.25 m Cat6 S/FTP cable in close-proximity connections within racks, patch panels, or dense networking enclosures. Keep the cable away from strong sources of electromagnetic interference and avoid over-tensioning. If longer runs are required, choose an appropriately rated Cat6 cable of the correct length to maintain signal quality.
